Bongcheon-Dong Ghost: Expanding the Fanbase

I've decided just recently to re-activate my deviantART account, since a lot of Cho followers are here.
I will be posting in this entry all that I know about the comic due to constant research.

1. Cho (조) is the ghost in the manhwa (obviously a lot of fans already know that due to the official English translation). The Cho is actually her surname so her first name is quite unknown.

2. The creator of the comic/manhwa is Horang (호랑). This is his blog. You can also check out his FB fanpage here.

3. There was an interview about Horang and his ghost comics (Oksu Station Ghost and Bongcheon-Dong Ghost). In this page, there is a video where he reveals that the ghost are actually made from 3D modeling software. You can see the 3D model of Cho's head and that nasty hand from Oksu Station.

5. If you happen to know Serial Experiments Lain (a cyberpunk anime during the '90s), you would notice many similarities with the Mystery Sketch series of Horang. Take a look at this comparison chart I made.

SOPA and PIPA - decline of Internet innovation?

In case you didn't know yet, Wikipedia, and many other sites have started a blackout strike because of SOPA and PIPA, two bills that may affect our worldwide internet use.

Here is my reaction.

Seriously, why are they working on this? It's like banning Facebook, YouTube or similar sites. It's ruining the fun, creativity, and love of the Internet. "Imagine a world without free knowledge", says Wikipedia. I understand that piracy is a threat to people who work hard. But let's face it - no one can stop piracy. That's like saying "I can eliminate all the bad guys and criminals of this world so that it will be a perfect world". No dude, you're wrong. Remember the theories of Yin and Yang? Darkness without light is bad. But light without darkness is also bad. Piracy can never (and should never) be truly stopped - because sometimes bad things can bring about good things.

Try to imagine: if SOPA and PIPA were implemented long ago, would cover artists be discovered by recording companies? Would comedy skits and parodies be a big hit? Will there be epic stuff in the internet? Absolutely none. This is what could happen.

As for me (and many underground/unsigned artists), this is a big problem, as we cannot freely produce music anymore. Only fully original content. But how about when we want to remix or remake something? I know originality is good, but seriously, a flat, strict world is even worse than a world covered in full-time piracy.

Piracy creates art. Piracy creates music. It explores and gives people the opportunity to leave their seats and be free.

So I fully support Anti-SOPA and Anti-PIPA. Our lives in the World Wide Web depend on it.

For the convenience of non-Quezon Province people, here is an in-depth compilation of some words, terminologies, and expressions mostly only used by the people of Quezon.

· Abi, adj. Another way of calling someone an idiot.

o Para kang abi, dapat hindi mo ginawa yun.

o You’re like an idiot, you should’ve never done that.

· Abyad, v. To settle accounts (usually paper-based) and documents.

o Kelangan kong abyadin ang mga papeles ko sa iskul.

o I need to settle my papers at school.

· Akitin, v. To invite someone (for an event or happening).

o Bakit hindi mo siya akitin sa bertdey mo?

o Why don’t you invite him/her to your birthday?

· Amama, n. Grandfather.

· Ampiyas, n./v. Rain that reaches the inside of the house or any establishment through the strong wind.

· Dasig, v. To move aside (usually in public vehicles like jeepneys).

· Dayag, v. To wash the dishes.

· Dine, adv. Here.

· Langis, n. Cooking oil. In Manila, however, they call this mantika.

· Linang, n. Barrio or a far-away town.

· Lino, n. Food for pigs, usually a mixture of various leftovers.

· Mahili, v. To be jealous or envious of someone (or something).

· Maluto, n. Packed lunch.

· Maruya, n. A pancake-like delicacy.

· Mulaga, adj. Eyes wide-open. Usually referred to people who are staring blankly or the wakeful.

· Musay, v. To throw out coins or candies, usually during festivals or parties.

o Nagpamusay kami sa bertdeyan ni Joshua.

· Nabubo, v./adj. Something that spilled, e.g. water or soup.

o Naku, nabubo ang juice na iniinum ko.

o Oh no, the juice that I’m drinking spilled.

· Pagbira, n./v. To turn around, usually for getting revenge or answering someone. Pretty synonymous with the slang resbak.

o Bibirahin kita, gusto mo?

· Panaog, v. Go down, as in the phrase Panik-panaog (going up and down).

o Ang hirap pumanaog sa Bundok Banahaw.

o It’s hard going down from Mount Banahaw.

· Pansit Habhab, n. A noodle dish with long, semi-brown noodles. Usually eaten without a fork.

o Masarap kumain ng Pansit Habhab.

· Pasayahan, n. A fiesta or feast. Usually used by Lucena City when they refer to the feast day of the city itself, e.g. Pasayahan sa Lucena.

· Pinagong (or Pinag-ong in Pagbilao dialect), n. A turtle-shaped bread, usually covered with sugar and has small slices on the top.

· Sakahin, v. To trace a drawing.

o Sakahin mo nalang yung drowing ng elepante.

o Just trace the elephant drawing.

· Salabay, n. Jellyfish.

· Sambalilo, n. Hat, especially sombrero/sumbrero.

If you've read my post here, I'm actually talking about this cool (and suddenly popular) Korean manhwa (comic) called Boncheon-Dong Ghost (봉천동 귀신), which is a moving-picture manhwa that will eat your soul away (literally).

Warning: Not advised for the weak-hearted, with medical conditions, etc.
Also, I advise you guys to watch it a daylight, with a small browser window, and never scroll down (unless you wanna see the good action).

Though I was left in shock for 2-3 weeks (because I saw it at midnight and all alone), I really loved the backstory when I searched for the translation in the internet. It was actually about a ghost of a woman with a disoriented body and a bloody face who died committing suicide due to her divorce. She lost the custody of her 2-year-old daughter on that divorce because of her affair (with another man, I guess). Back then (when I had totally no knowledge about Korean/Hangeul), I thought it was a poor crippled man teaching a little girl a lesson about having upright feet (which was similar to a story I read back when I was in elementary). But now everything makes sense, and I don't feel that much scared anymore; in fact, I feel sorry for her.

The official English translation romanized the woman's name as "Cho", but lots of translations on the web translate it as "Jo" or "Ms. Jo". When I went back to the manhwa itself, it reads 조씨 (jo-sshi), and I learned that -sshi is an honorific slightly similar to the Japanese honorific -san, which is used for addressing people politely. Either way, she has a weird name (or is it a surname?). Not to mention, when she does that 180 degrees backflip thingy, was that because she's a ghost/zombie of sorts and her twisted bones...or was she by any chance a gymnast during her life? LOL that was just...meh.

There were so many moral lessons I've learned from that manhwa. So many dear memories, and spilled coffee. XD

1. Never drink coffee at night.
2. Never trust Facebook links.
3. Not all ghosts with short hair are guys.
4. Never trust Flash.
5. Never ever commit suicide by jumping off a building.
6. Red eyes, pale skin, and slightly blurred blood are effective scary effects.
7. Stuttering pictures are effective scary effects.
8. Never have an affair with someone else.
9. Never approach strangers (especially crippled ones) in the middle of the night.
10. Never go to Bongcheon-Dong at night.

Well, this is currently my biggest obsession. The thing is, I have a self-goal within me, and that is to "conquer and chibify all ghosts, zombies, spirits, lost souls, etc. who are worthy enough". XD

Either way, this is one really twisted story (pun intended).

I hope she gets her baby/daughter back. *prays*

Ichijiku: A Winter Story

It was the year 2013. After great and tragic natural calamities and disasters occurred all over the world during the end of 2012, the Philippines lost 75% of its population, leaving behind a wasteland of death. Great climate changes began to take place as the South Luzon region of the country began experiencing extreme snowfall, leading to the beginning of an ice age.

Lifestyle became hoarse and wasted for the provinces of this region. However, a lot of people from foreign countries started settling down on this country, thus giving birth to new civilizations. The province of Laguna, now dubbed by new inhabitants as Edenia, is filled with the most snow in the region.

A little girl named Sierra Sarabande lives in Keylim, formerly Calamba. She goes to high school in the midst of the cold weather, fulfilling her deceased parents’ dream of getting a good job somewhere, even at the destruction of the country.

Each day, she rides the jeep going to school. This school is only a few meters away from the former SM City Calamba (mall). But one day, she encounters a guy who always wore shades, and whom she would always see at the jeep she rides. She was intrigued by his presence, as if something in her heart starts to react. Though she would always deny it and keep it inside her heart, she eventually found herself always expecting him at the jeep.

But she was too afraid to ask of his name.

Later on, she found out that the guy works at a stall in a small portion of the former SM City Calamba. Even at that point, she was too afraid to ask, since people might intrigue her. But deep in her heart, she felt a strong connection to him. She felt as if she already had the keys to escape from this boring lifestyle in the ice age and live under the sun in some sort of paradise world. With these thoughts, she began to drift away from school and life itself.

Her grandmother noticed her actions, that on one night, she gave her these words:

“Paradise doesn’t exist by itself. Only you can create it.”

The next day, Sierra was very much deep in thought that she almost bumped into any object she comes across. And later on at the jeep, she almost slipped.

Luckily, that guy with the shades saved him. She never thought that they would go home at the same exact time. She thanked him in a shy way; not looking at his eyes, then ran off to the district where she belonged.

However, the next morning wasn’t very kind to her. The guy wasn’t there on the jeep. Sierra thought that maybe he’s absent or sick. Because during that time, almost everyone had either acute, moderate, or severe winter sickness that would usually display excessive coughing, cold, fever, and the like, due to the weather condition.

Sierra was in deep thought the whole day. She couldn’t focus completely on everything she does.

Later on, she decided to stop by at a shop on the way home. But on the other side of the road, there was a banner/tarpaulin of someone who died. Though feeling nervous, she quickly ran towards the place, and was greatly shocked.

It was the same guy at the jeep whom he admired and who saved her life. His name was Kouichi Nakagawa, a Japanese immigrant, and died just yesterday.

Although she was deeply hurt, she decided not to barge in and kept the matter to herself.

The next day, she decided not to go to school, but to the mini stall where Kouichi used to work on. On her way near the highway road (which was quite deserted because of the heavy snowfall), she meets a guy in a blue jacket, with shades. Upon getting closer to him, the guy takes off his shades and tells her these words:

“Have Faith in God.”

And then he left. It was Kouichi’s spirit. It was definitely him.

Sierra’s heart began to race as tears started to burst from her weak eyes. Then suddenly, she saw a blinding light towards the horizon. Without regret, she ran towards the light and spread out her arms, as if she was going to fly.

When she opened her eyes, she was in a completely different world. Looking back, she saw her dead body lying in the snow, and looking forward, it was a sunny paradise, with all of the people who died before and during the ice age. This was her dream. Now it’s a reality.

At a walking pace, she sees a guy under a fig tree. It was Kouichi. Sierra had no more regrets and ran towards him.

In year 2013, a little girl proved that even small miracles can occur during great disasters and hopeless times. We are all humans who need happiness. There is no one else who can supply it to us, except ourselves.

But since the dawn of Angry Birds and Android Phones, things have just begun.

And so begins a new journey, with returning visitors.
O2Jam Analog is going to be available for Android Phones.

As you can see, there are many new artists and returning ones, like BeautifulDay, Brandy, nao.paradigm, and others.

But I was overwhelmed when I saw Pory and SHK are back.

These guys are the root of my music career. They're not your average monotonous K-pop that you hear everyday - they're dynamic and full of beautiful melodies.

Here are my review of some of the songs:

Pory - %qw
- He is back with a new (yay for vocaled!) single in the hardcore electronica genre. As expected of him (like long time ago), his music has a taste of power and coolness, true to his percent (%) series. And since I'm learning Korean/Hangeul these days, I managed to get the lyrics. I'll post all of the lyrics (of all O2Jam songs I know) on a separate post.

S.I.D. Sound - Visual Dream II (In Fiction)
- A remake of Brandy's "Visual Dream" from the original PC counterpart of O2Jam. I'd say, this is WAY better than the original. It resembles J-rock style but still maintains the awesomeness of Brandy's composition style. S.I.D. sound's vocalist is so awesome, and of course, the lead guitar made it more catchier. Brilliant song. Addictive.

Pory (ER-5) - Light
- Aww, this thing almost made me cry. It's so beautiful. It reminds me of NicoNicoDouga's Hana-tan when she collaborated with Yuyoyuppe. Anyway, I also happen to know that Pory also went by the artist name ER-5, because I got to contact him in MSN years ago (when O2Jam was blooming in the Philippines and K-pop was never mainstreamed yet). It's heartwarming and the reason why I cried is because some guy posted on Last.fm that Pory might be deceased (and this might be his last song). BUT HE IS WRONG! Because Pory is back with two new songs, %qw and %S. Thank God!

There is also Zeron's "Invitation", which is like an LSS in my head. It's so catchy I REALLY want to remake it. XD

Overall, I am so happy that the O2Jam fever have not died down. And I'm also thankful that they reincarnated today, during the post-Korean-goes-mainstream-beating-down-Japan-then-Kazaki-rants-about-unfairness era. It's really awesome to embrace these guys' music, because we are all Asians and like it or not, these were a part of my musical heritage.

There were twenty days in a night cycle. Thirty weeks in a day’s routine. Forty hours in eternity.

In each box of candies, there were a million sugar-flavored ones. One-thousand are coffee-scented and two and a half billion are loved by fairies. These boxes are linked together to form red obscure boxes, which are larger than life. If decibels from the future are offered to those black packaging tapes, I doubt that any samurai can slice through the strange-looking security.

A song crosses paths with a box.

A new tomorrow begins.

The corner of the wall shows nothing but a dead end. Each liter of flowing water from the stapler’s mouth shall add to the procedure’s workflow. I don’t understand why wires and trash cans are being eaten by rabbit-like critters that lurk beneath the crescent moon and throw away the excess lead.

Connect the wild flowers with the Italian spices. They are our only hope. Playing chess may mean more, but mice are never connected to the ports of the raging sea.

I wish for time cards and ID holders to obtain wings that can soar to the vast galaxies of the astral world.

When the Red Forest Cried

The forest was bright and the sun was clear. A little girl named Ae-Cha walked in the hazy path, carrying a picnic basket. She wore a red hood and happily gazed at the nature around her. Coming back from town, she goes back to her house, where mother, Jin-Ae, was waiting for her to bring the grocery and prepare lunch.

But there was something eerie around her. Feeling slightly nervous, a shadow seems to be following her. She started to pick up the pace and run, but...

"AAAAAHHHH!!!"

It was a bloody man in front of her, with a knife. He pushed her to a tree and was aiming at her heart. But as if something was pulling his hand, he stopped, looking at the girl's face.

"I...I can't...I can't kill you..." The man said to Ae-Cha.
The girl was terrified. She couldn't move, not even an inch. There were tears of fear on her eyes.
"Don't be afraid, little girl." The man suddenly backed away from the girl, dropped the knife, but still held her. "I've mistaken you for someone else, I'm sorry. It's okay. Don't cry."

Ae-Cha suddenly calmed down, seeing the sincerity from the man's eyes. She began interrogating, innocently.

"Who are you? Why did you try to kill me? Do you know me?"
The man sighed. "My name is Dae-Jung. I thought you were a bandit from town, because of your hood."
"Why are you all bloody?" The girl asked.
"I shall tell you later. But for now, I'll tell you a story in my small house. Would you like to come?"
Ae-Cha was warned not to trust strangers, but her curiosity got the better of her. "Sure! Besides, it's still too early."

And so both of them went to another path, to a small cabin in the woods. They sat on the table with warm soup.

"Would you like me to tell you a story about this forest?" Dae-Jung said.
"Yes, of course!" Said Ae-Cha.

The narration started.

"A long time ago, there were two people who always explored this forest. The boy was from the town while the girl was from the forest. They both loved each other, but the girl's mother didn't agree of their relationship."
"So what happened to them?"
"Sadly..." Dae-Jung's voice slightly withered. "The boy was killed by the girl's mother. He was brutally chainsawed to death. And the girl, since her mother was a wizard or some sort of a witch, was transformed into a little girl and all of her memories of the boy were erased and replaced with fake ones."
"That's...awful! How could a mother do that to her daughter?"
"Well...maybe because...the mother was a widow who had depression. Her husband died so she seem to have hated men."

Ae-Cha looked at her watch. It was almost noon time.
"Oh my! I have to go home! Thank you for inviting me here!" Then Ae-Cha hurriedly ran outside, back to the path she was going to.
"Okay then, take care, Ae-Cha." Said Dae-Jung.

When Ae-Cha arrived home, her mother was a little irritated.
"What took you so long, Ae-Cha?" Said her mother.
"Well I...I saw some furry animals and they were chasing after the food, so I gave them a tiny bit. I felt sorry for them. Is that okay, mom?"
Her mother, Jin-Ae, chuckled. "Of course, dear. The forest is yours to explore! I'm just glad you didn't run into any trouble. Allright, now help me with the food."
"Yes mother!"

That night, as Ae-Cha went to the kitchen for a glass of water, she saw a small piece of paper sticking out of the cabinet. Next to it was a cat that came out of nowhere. She picked up the paper and discovered that it was a small drawing of the forest.

This is when she began having rapid flashbacks.

"Sure, and you'll help me draw too. Right, Dae-Jung?"

"Dae...Jung?" Ae-Cha thought. "So I....I...."

Suddenly, the cat led her outside, at the shed, where her mother stores all of the tools. When she picked up the little cat, yet another flashback entered her mind.

"So what do we name the cat?" Asked Dae-Jung.
"Let's name her Channy!" Said Ae-Cha, while petting the cat.
--------------------------------------------------

"Channy..." She looked at the cat, who seem to be pointing at something.

Behind the hay and rugged clothes, there was a chainsaw.

Ae-Cha quickly knelt down in tears, sorrow, and anger. It was her. She was the girl whose boyfriend was killed by her mother. She had become a little girl because of a spell. She lost all of her memories.

"You're awake now, Ae-Cha. Thank goodness." Said Dae-Jung, who was still bloody, and who was the person she met earlier.

"Dae-Jung! I...I...!" Ae-Cha hugged her, even if she was going to be covered in blood too. But her body went through Dae-Jung and she fell on the floor. "Why didn't you save me before? How many days has it been?"

Dae-Jung breathed deeply. "It was only five days. I was only waiting for the right time. I thought I could just kill you and we could be together in the after life. But you were so pure and innocent, and that would be selfish of me. So I instantly thought of sending you clues instead, with the help of Channy, who was also killed by your mother."
"I'm sorry...Dae-Jung..." Ae-Cha cried with all of her heart.

Suddenly, her mother walked into the shed. "What's the commotion here? Who is th--Ae-Cha? And w-who is t-th-?"

Quickly, and without remorse, Ae-Cha picked up the chainsaw and charged at her mother. She brutally pierced through her, like how Dae-Jung was murdered in front of her innocent eyes. But her mother was still able to fight back, and shot her many times with a pistol.

However, her mother died, leaving only Ae-Cha and the two spirits in the shed.

Catching her breath, Ae-Cha was beside Dae-Jung, who was forcing her to call any emergency paramedic. But she insisted on dying there.

"I don't want to live a lonely life. Without you. Without Channy. Without love." Ae-Cha said, with tears of joy. "I want to be with you...forever. I love you, Dae-Jung."
Dae-Jung accepted everything and said, "I love you too, Ae-Cha."

As Ae-Cha was about to breath his last, Dae-Jung sees her girlfriend being transformed into her original form, because her mother (who casted the spell) already passed away. They made a kiss - a kiss that would mean an eternal vow with each other, to stay together and linger through the forest which they called their home.

Diary of Broken [Original Story of the EP]

He was walking alone that night. Without anyone, without street lights. Going to the direction his friend, or rather, former friend, directed him to, he shakes in fear but stood still.

The man named Hibiki Kurobu, a.k.a. Broken. He left the house at 7:00 PM to meet up with Muji Noritaka, a.k.a. Null for a special deal. Leaving his dear little sister, Miki, behind him, he enters the old HQ of their IT-based group, CCB (Computer Connection Brigade) at Kaizen University.

Broken made a deal with Null regarding the threat to his girlfriend, Mato Shimizu, a.k.a. Format. In the deal, Null will leave Format alone if Broken decides to come to the designated place and time to meet up with him. For the sake of his love, Broken agrees.

Slightly shaking but brave and determined, Broken opened the door.

"Ahh, yes. You finally made it." Said Null with a smile. "Have you decided then?"

"Of course." Broken said firmly. "I've decided to sacrifice myself, for her sake!"

Null laughed. "Even if that means...I'm going to kill you right here?"

Broken was slightly shocked. But he knew what to answer, even without thinking. "Yes."

"Hmm, wise decision." Said Null. "Don't worry, in exchange for your death, I promise to leave Format alone. You can even haunt me to death to verify that. And not just that, I'll keep this event a secret from everyone, especially Format. You can count on that."

With that, Null called two boys, Shido Kawaguchi (Exit) and Kondo Kioshi (Code), who are also members of CCB, like himself, Broken and Format. These two were Format's rivals in their studies.

"I think it would be best if I let these guys get their revenge on Format first. What do you think?" Said Null.

"Null..." Broken's heart was beating fast, but he said with ease these words: "...I accept everything that you will do to me."

"Hmm, good boy. Now Exit! Phase 1 - [Emotion]."

"Roger!"

Exit drew a sword and stabbed Broken in the chest. It was painful indeed. But Broken was still steadfast.

"In case you didn't notice, Broken, this is a sword we are both familiar of - the Great Sword, used in ancient times and can cut and pierce through anything. Now...how do you feel?"

"I.....I'm still okay. Heheh. I trust you." Said Broken with a smile.

"Good. Now Code! Phase 2 - [Embrace]."

"Got it!"

Code took the sword from Exit and cut Broken's right arm. Broken knelt on the floor in pain, but was still alive.

"So...you still insist on dying, my friend?" said Null.

"Of course. This way...I can protect her...forever..." said Broken, catching his breath.

"All right then. This time, I'll continue." Null grabs the sword.

"You two, get a sack!" Null said to the two.

"Okay!" said Exit and Code.

With that, Null goes for his shot. "I'm warning you - this one is painful."

Null grabs Broken's face and positions his sword near his cheeks.

"Phase 3 - [Expression]."

Without any other warning, Null peels off Broken's mouth. It was dreaded and bloody. But alas, Broken was still alive, catching his last breaths.

"I am the one who betrayed your trust." Said Null to Broken. "Avenge your own death, find your own meaning. Because...things like these happen for the reason of...purging our souls."

Broken was confused with what he said, as Null aimed for Broken's left eye.

"Since you are now unable to speak...this is...goodbye. Phase 4 - [Eyesight]."

Null stabs Broken's left eye, through his brain, and in the process, killing him directly. There were bloodstains on his face and slight tears in his eyes, but Null showed no regret, like a villain from a movie would. Broken laid down on the floor...lifeless.

A few moments later, Broken found himself in a room...his own room. He heard sounds of lament and crying outside. To his surprise, his family was grieving over his distorted remains inside the coffin. No one could hear him. He was invisible to their sight. Quickly, he ran to the bathroom to see if all of these things really happened.

"My...my face. My mouth...my left eye. My right arm. My...heart..." Broken was dead scared of himself in the mirror. "So I...really...died."

The next thing that happened is that he was teleported in a weird-looking room (kind of like the room where he was killed) with some sort of hologram screens. They seem to be teaching Broken something. He wondered if this is an illusion, since he's already dead.

And at last, Broken remembered his mission - to avenge his own death, kill Null, his murderer and former best friend, and protect his girlfriend, Format, forever.

"I should go to those two suckers first." he said to himself.

Exit was sitting on his room, counting the money that Null gave him after the mission. He lied down on the floor, thinking of happy thoughts, when suddenly, the whole house darkened and all the lights were shut off. He couldn't see anything. Then he heard a voice.

"Hello, Exit. Have you decided what to do with the money you earned..."

Exit was scared. "Show yourself! Who are you?"

"The money you earned...from stabbing my heart!" said the voice.

"N-no way! Y-you're..."

Just then, Broken suddenly appears behind him and gives him a good stab. Not only that, he also implemented the rest of the "phases" that were used in killing him. In this way, Exit died like him.

"Hahaha!" Broken laughed in vain and excitement. "So this is how avenging your own death feels like! It's good!"

But Broken remembered something. "Oh yeah, that's right. I have to make sure Format is safe."

In her house, Format was sick for a few days already because of fever. She couldn't go to school. Suddenly, she hears a semi-distorted voice, like one processed by computers and static noise.

"Dear girl...why are you crying?"

Format answered. "I can't contact Broken, my boyfriend, for about 2 days now. I wonder if anything bad happened to him. I'm really worried!"

"Don't be stressed." The voice said. "I am a spirit medium and I shall convey this message to your loved one, wherever he is, may he be alive or dead. I'm sure he's waiting for you out there."

Format wiped her tears. "Oh thank you very much! I-"

"Goodbye."

And then the noise and static-filled voice disappeared. Format was all alone.

But there was one thing different - Format's fever has disappeared too!

On her cellphone, she receives a text message:

"Hey Format, may I borrow your notes in C++? - Code"

Format was slightly annoyed. "Code? At this time? Jeez, what a stuck-up guy! Hmph, fine."

With her fever mysteriously disappearing, Format packs up her notes and goes to Code's house, which is just a few blocks away from hers. But when she knocked on the door, no one answered. She opened it, and to her surprise, she heard tragic screams. These screams got louder and louder as she went inside. And at last, she peeked into Code's room upstairs. Her face froze in fear.

It was Broken, delivering the Phase 4 - [Eyesight] to Code. She also saw Broken's body heavily tortured, bloody, and with a stab in his left eye, with blood oozing from his brain. It was a brutal scene.

Before Broken would notice anything, Format hid behind the doors and quickly yet quietly ran outside of the house and into the open. It rained hard.

"Why...why is Broken a zombie-like creature? What happened to him? Why did he kill code? Was all of that for real? I..."

Suddenly, she received a text message - from Null.

"Come to my house right now. It's regarding Broken."

She then dashes off to the next street, in the rain, without an umbrella.

"Welcome, Format." Null said as Format entered the house.

"W-what happened to Broken? Why does he look like a zombie-like creature killing Code? What do you know about this?"

Null smiled in a grim way. "What do you think...? Heheh."

"Y-you killed him!?" Format was surprised, angry, and confused.

And at that moment, Null hands over a Great Sword to Format.

"Yes, I did. Now...do as you please!" Null shouted with a crazy smile.

And with that, Format executes the Four Phases, killing Null the same way she saw how Broken seem to have been killed. She had no regrets, and cuts through the man with sharp and precise moves.

"Thank you...Format..." This was Null's last words.

Learning everything from Null then deciding for herself, she takes Null's uniform and disguises herself as Broken's murderer. Then she heads off in the heavy rain, trying to find the ghost of her loved one.

Meanwhile, Broken was walking alone in the rain. He was heading to one last destination - Null's house.

"I can't see very well...because of my left eye. Plus it's raining so hard."

Until before his very eyes, he saw someone in a boy's school uniform, standing tall and smiling grimly.

"No doubt about it." Broken said to himself. "I shall avenge my death...Null!!!"

He screamed as he performed the exact act of murder that was done to him by Null. Furiously, his right eye cried so much tears and blood as he pierced through Null's body.

But when Null fell unconscious on the ground, Broken noticed something in the man's neck.

"T-that's...the necklace...I gave to...I gave to..."

Suddenly, a flashback entered his mind. It was during Format's birthday. It was when he gave this necklace to Format, his most loved one.

"NOOO!!!!" He screamed in pain, trying to wake up Format, who is now a dead corpse. Tears of blood flowed from his right eye as he stared at Format's distorted face.

Later on, Broken heard a voice behind him.

"Broken...my love...why are you crying?"

Behind him was Format's ghost. This is where Broken started asking many questions.

Broken started speaking to her, in the static and noise-filled voice (this is mental telepathy, since their mouths were peeled off) "Why are you dressed like Null? And how did you find about my death? And more importantly, why did you let me kill you? I...I--"

"Listen!" Format said in mental telepathy as well, with tears on her right eye. "I discovered your death while you killed Code. I was there at his house because he wanted to borrow my C++ notes. But I ran away in shock and then Null contacted me about you. And that's when I found out that I saw your ghost and you were killed brutally by Null. So I...I avenged your death by killing Null the same way you were killed! Null handed me the sword and told me to 'do as I please' to him. And that's when I thought for myself...that you're gone and I can't be with you anymore. So I've decided to follow you in the afterlife...by dressing up as Null and letting myself be killed for your sake!"

Broken was sad and frustrated. "Why did you have to go though all of this? I just wanted you to live on and be happy! You could have just forgotten about me and went through the rest of your life! So why?"

Format had only one answer. "Because I love you."

Broken was shocked, but was happy. "I also did this deal with Null, you see...because I love you and I don't want to lose you or let you get hurt ever again."

"Well, right now...since we're both dead...we can be together again...this time...forever." Said Format as she embraced Broken, who stared at the dark, rainy sky. Then he looked back at Format.

"Broken...can I ask you something?"

"Yes, what is it?"

Format was a little shy. "Kiss me. Please."

But Broken was confused. "How? O-our lips are..."

Format went closer to Broken's face. "Let' use our imagination, okay?"

"Oh, okay."

And within that moment, two brutally-killed departed souls held each other tight while doing a "Tragic Kiss".

Chicken feet mayhem.

This time, I'm posting something unrelated to my current real-life situation.

Let's begin with swans.

Swans are the most awesome birds I've ever seen. But second to them are, of course, flamingos, which can be seen yoyo-ing at Fantasia 2000. Disney has never been the same since the dawn of Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. Those two should have a cat fight for Justin Bieber, seriously. Although I think Charice Pempengco suits JB better than those bitches. Really.

Did I mention that Shamcey Supsup (Ms. Philippines and 3rd runner up for Ms. Universe 2011) either looks like Valerie Concepcion, Charice Pempengco, or that girl in the Hero TV commercial. But no, not Fame Flores - that's ~~Sarah Geronimo~~ Akiko Shikata. No to self. Yes to flowers.

I've actually been wondering why Shikata soundtracks for the weirdest (if not, special) anime and video games, usually BL games. That makes me wonder - should I get into Hanakisou? After all, BL is okay with me since I support gays. Haha.

So which mainstream gay is the best for me? I respect Vice Ganda, though. Mr. Fu and Shalala are okay for me. But who really strikes me the most? Michael V, the eminent cross-dresser. Though not technically gay, I like his wits. I've been a fan since the ABC-5 ages. Ahh, the good-old Pringles-munching days, with Sailormoon, of course.

This leaves us the ultimate question of all:

Can a teleport device really be invented ASAP in this era? I hope so.

Here are the specific things that occurred in my life starting from August 14 up to this day, September 9, 2011.

August 14 - 17
- I longed for a copy of Lourd de Veyra's book, "This is a Crazy Planets" (which I already have now). In United Imaginary Islands (UI2), they have made a treaty that Bellueroia (country) will now be a part of the continent of UI2. I've also made some live piano song recordings and tried making a DIY acapella of Yuyoyuppe's "Hope" (sung by himself). And of course, my salary for my technical writing came.

August 18 - 21
- Through my bf, I finally found "Feel Like Dance" by Globe which is actually a childhood J-pop song. Lately, Chowking's Chinese-Style Chicken sort of changed its appearance. I also wrote an FL9 tutorial and tips on composition. I also recorded EXEC_LIGO/. because EXEC_HARMONIUS/. is too awesome.

August 22 - 25
- After getting "This is a Crazy Planets", I manage to finish my album, Lost Utopia Act III and upload it to the FTP site. My bf also listened to it (that made me happy). And our dear goddess, Akiko Shikata, released her new single "Utsusemi", with "LOST CHILDREN" as the B-side. LOST CHILDREN was rearranged, though.

August 26 - 29
- My bf randomly showed me a "moving-picture" horror manhwa (Korean manga) that left me shocked for almost 2-3 weeks. I also enjoyed playing some NES (family computer) games like Super Mario, Pacman & Galaxian at my PC-NES emulator. Then there was the marinated chicken after being shown the LAZORHS scene from Final Destination 5 (thank you Poko and Angela Aki LOL), and thanks to Daktarin for the cure on my mouth sore.

August 30 - September 2
- Receiving new technical writing assignments which are Office tutorials, I continued them for around 2-3 days while getting a calamansi hair bath. And it was September, the first day of "Philippine Christmas". I managed to finish them all eventually. Then to my surprise and amazement, Lourd de Veyra replied to my post via Twitter, while I was refreshing myself with some more study in Aramaic language.

September 3 - 6
- Watching "Letter Bee" on Animax somehow relaxed my mind. I also created language tags (which contains all of my languages of interest in small paper strips). We also went to Mainit Hot Springs to cure my dad and my cousin's wife. And of course, me and my bf met and talk about our plans in the future, as to where will we work and how about his and my future music endeavors. We spent so many fun times together eating, looking for job openings, and talking about in the city.

September 7 - 9
- I've decided to learn Hangeul (Korean Language) to get even, or maybe because of my "language addict" sense. It was okay but pretty hard. But I'm doing my best. Until my former boss at Ionics (during OJT) contacted me for a job slot. I had no other choice but to take the opportunity, even if it means going back "there". Kaninong Salita Ka?

Sa hinaba-haba ng mga panahon ko ay ngayon lang ako makakapagsulat ng isang Tagalog na blog post. Yeah.

Ngayong araw na ito ay nakabili ako sa National Bookstore (sa wakas) ng "This is a Crazy Planets" ni Lourd de Veyra. Para sa mga hindi siya kilala, si sir Lourd ay isang essayist, TV personality, at bokalista ng bandang Radioactive Sago Project. Malupit siya ngunit nakakabilib - yung tipong maiinis ka pero matatawa ka. Yun bang sa sobrang congested na ng Pilipinas ay saka mo lang malalaman ang mga tunay na ibig sabihin ng mga bagay-bagay dito sa mundo, na madalas ay deadma lang.

Ito ang tanong ko: ano ang pinagkaiba ni Lourd sa isang batikan (at underground scene) na awtor na may pen name na Bob Ong?

Narito ang aking personal na opinyon.

Hindi ako masyadong nakabasa ng mga aklat ni Bob Ong pero nakakabasa naman ako kahit kaunti sa Internet at mga pahapyaw sa mga nakikita at nahahawakan kong Bob Ong books tulad ng Stainless Longganisa na pag-aari ng kapatid ng boyfriend ko (Salamat Carisa at happy birthday ulet). Para sa akin, ang napansin kong pamamaraan ng awtor na iyon ay gumagamit siya ng "simpleng" linggwahe - yung tipong mga low IQ ay pwedeng magbasa. Samakatwid, maaaring ang iniisip ng mga matataas ang pinag-aralan kay Bob Ong ay "ang manunulat na nagsusulat ng mga librong para sa mga tanga ang pag-iisip".

Pero may malalim na kahulugan ang pagsusulat ni Bob Ong ng "nonsense" Filipino. Maaaring ipinapamukha sa atin ng awtor ang unti-unting pagbaba ng ating karunungan sa pagbasa at pagsulat. Alam din niyang sobrang tamad na ng mga Pinoy ngayon (lalo na ang mga kabataang Facebook, gimik, at magpaka-OMG lang ang alam) na magbuklat ng mga aklat, at minsan ay tamang E-books na lang sila (pero okay narin ang E-books kaso para sa akin nakakasakit ng mata). Kaya ang ginawa niyang istilo ay ang "pang-masa" o yung maiintindihan ng mga makikitid ang utak na "mainstream people". Yung mga dumedepende sa uso at trend. Kasi nga naman, sa paglago ng teknolohiya, nababawasan na ang IQ level ng mga kabataan. Tapos idagdag pa ang pagka-OA ng ilang mga "professional" at "high and mighty people". Yung mga taong hindi open-minded, alam mo na yun.

Maganda rin naman ang istilo ni Bob Ong - kumbaga sa music ay Lito Camo or Yeng Constantino. Kumbaga sa channel ay ABS-CBN or GMA.

Pero iba si Lourd de Veyra.

Biglang pumasok sa isip ko na baka mayroon mga taong makikitid ang utak na sinasabing "sino ba yang si Lourd? Papogi effect? Basta Bob Ong parin ako. Hindi ko maintindihan ang professionalism ni Lourd." Ngayon kung may ganito mang tao, humanda ka sa aking sasabihin. Hahaha.

Si Lourd de Veyra ay graduate ng Journalism sa Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas, bokalista ng Radioactive Sago Project, at nanalo ng madaming mga parangal tulad ng Palanca awards. Madami na rin siyang mga literary works, at syempre ang mga blog posts nya sa Spot.ph. Isali narin natin ang kanyang mga segments sa TV5 (dating ABC 5 para sa mga hindi nakakaalam at walang cable) tulad ng Lupet (dati) at Word of the Lourd, kung saan isa siyang mapangahas na kritiko ng kultura at lipunan ng ating bansang Pilipinas.

Kung magbabasa ka sa Spot.ph blog niya o bibili ka ng kopya mo ng This is a Crazy Planets, hindi ko alam kung matatawa ka, maaaliw, o magagalit, maiinis, at iba pa. Ito lang ang sigurado ko: kung natuwa ka, ibig sabihin pareho tayo ng pananaw. Ngunit kung nainis ka, sigurado akong kasama ka dun sa mga fanatic ng Azkals at isa sa mga Jejemons na pakalat-kalat sa tabi-tabi.

Hindi lang si Willie Revillame o lahat ng mga batikang artista sa TV5 ang nagpapalakas ng istasyon nila. Pag-isipan ninyong mabuti. Ano ang makukuha natin sa sobrang showbiz talk shows? Uunlad ba ang bansa kapag mas dumami ang mga romance movies na pasimuno ng Star Cinema or Viva Films? Basta, marami pang iba na hindi ko na kailangang pang banggitin katulad ni Justin Bieber at ang Super Junior (at madami pang mga "popstars" at "rockstars"). Malamang mapapaisip ka kapag nanood ka ng ilang mga episode ng Word of the Lourd. Mararamdaman mo na para ka nang nanood ng Discovery Channel pero classic Pinoy flavor and dating.

Pero sa dulo ng kompetisyon, nasa atin kung sino ang tunay na panalo. Tayo lang ang makakapagsabi kung ano para sa atin ang maganda at pangit. Walang sino man o ano mang mainstream trend, radio station, TV network, at kung sino pang mga tao o grupo na maaaring magdikta sa atin ng tama at mali pagdating sa panitikan. Kanya-kanyang kape lang yan. Kanya-kanyang beer. Siguro gusto ni Bob Ong na magpaka-underground scene kasi naiisip din niya yung naiisip ni Lourd - yun bang tinatawag kong "Stardom Depression" o pagkabagot at pagiging maniac sa pagiging sikat, yung tipong Britney Spears na nag-self-weirdo-hairdo. Pero iba ang istilo ni Bob Ong sa istilo ni Lourd. Parang ganito yun:

Bob Ong: Progressive and Experimental Rock (think Urbandub and Faspitch)
Lourd: Post-Hardcore (yung may mga sigawan at moshpit tulad ng sa samahan ng mga HG sa Lucena)

Pero wala akong kinikilingan. Patas lang kasi magkaiba sila ng genre, parang music. Huwag ikumpara ang Reggae sa Metal dahil magkaiba sila ng lifestyle. Huwag mong ikukumpara si Manny Pacquiao kay Phil Younghusband dahil self-explanatory na yun.

The World of Fishes.

It is so titled because a lot of my topics for this entry has to do with fishes. Seriously.

First of all, I would like to show you my current interest.

This beautiful type of food.

It's Ligo Sardines, a 50-year-old sardine company in the Philippines, which has been pretty much in the underground scene because it's been there and the only sardine company - until many ones appeared. And that's why TV5 host Willie Revillame saved the poor little fishes - in the form of a Wiltime Bigtime endorsement. Personally, I really like their new (and first time after many years) commercials. Ligo is truly the saint of all sardines when it comes to both taste and quality. Have a Ligo!

It's so awesome that I even added it to a Pepper Dennis specialty.

Speaking of food, I also thought of a random (and brutal) story slightly based from my Diary of Broken series when we went to a Monterey meat shop at La Suerte Mega Warehouse (Pagbilao) some days earlier. I still don't know if it should be a short story or a concept music work. Let's just say it has something to do with meat and blood. Hahaha.

Another thing today is that I finally got a copy of this pretty book.

It's called "This is a Crazy Planets", written by Filipino musician/essayist/TV personality/critic/awesome guy Lourd de Veyra. His commentaries and point of views are definitely some kick-ass material, especially when you're that much of a mainstream critic (like me). Filipinos will definitely realize their mistakes when this man speaks for his ideals. The book is a collection of his witty essays from Spot.ph and is really worth buying for. It's already out since August 20, 2011, so you can grab your copy at any bookstore nationwide (I got mine at National Bookstore in SM City Lucena with a price of Php 195.00).

And the third thing I want to share is this little teaser.

It's a new album I'm working on right now - the third part of the Lost Utopia series. From what I can tell you right now, it's going to be more "matured" than the first two albums, and is going to incorporate some of my new original languages like Viaalara, Bellueroian and Sphereian. I'll keep you updated when my album is launched and when my website is fully launched!

International Forgiveness Day

Before I subconsciously post anything stupid here, I want you to know that everyone, like me, has their own personal opinions. And my opinion is that if you find someone's idea offensive, just ignore it.

I found out from Willie Revillame on the TV5 program Wiltime Bigtime that tomorrow, August 7, 2011, is International Forgiveness Day. Now I realized something: I should finally post everything of my best knowledge and belief here.

Okay, let's start with some ancient issues. In this example, I'm going to discuss about a famous (well, sort of) biblical figure whom people (especially Catholics, even myself back then) judge too much. His name is Judas Iscariot.

So you'd think, "Oh look, Kazaki has been under the control of Lady Gaga again". Jeez, no. This though came to my head even before Gaga's single - way back when I got a copy of Manga Messiah. I realized something.

If we look at biblical records and teachings of the scriptures, we would know that God is an all-forgiving God. In fact, Jesus Himself said that "You must forgive your neighbor not seven times, but seventy-seven times. You must forgive him the same way God forgives you."

Here's my question: If God forgives everyone, why not Judas? Is he not a human being? Or is it because he committed suicide? And why do you think he committed such? Think about it. Judas hanged himself because he could not bear to witness the results of what he has done. OR if you search "The Gospel of Judas" on Google, you would find out that there is a forbidden scripture that tells of a "secret pact" between Judas and Jesus. In that pact, it is said that everything is planned by God and Jesus Christ, and Judas is part of the plan. He was the one to take the blame.

Okay, so if you don't believe that story, you might stick to my first theory: God's ultimate forgiveness. Here's the thing: if you read about Peter's three-time denial of Jesus, you might think of the same thing, except of course, Peter asked for forgiveness and was "officially" forgiven by Christ. But how about the other person who asked for forgiveness by killing himself? You know why he did that? He feels like there is absolutely nothing he can do to undo what he did.

Theory one or two, for me, it's God's plan. And at the same time, God sets us up so that we may learn how to forgive people. I mean, did Jesus said "Damn you Judas" when he was crucified? No. He said "God why have you abandoned me?" Clearly, it was not Judas' fault - he was only an instrument of God. In short, what I'm trying to say is, there can't be a story without an antagonist.

And that's why there's nothing wrong with Lady Gaga's "Judas". It's just a song of romance being compared to some biblical story. She isn't attacking religion, she's putting it to art.

But of course, the CCP exhibit thingy WAS kind of...creepy.

So to summarize my first part of this post, I strongly believe that "God forgives everyone, even the worst of humans." And besides, we are all like Judas too sometimes - we commit sins so grave that sometimes we just want to die to make up for them. Well, don't we? But of course, we'll never stop asking for forgiveness if so. And in the same way, we should also never stop giving forgiveness to others. Nobody is perfect - so all that we can do is accept the imperfectness of each other.

Now, onto the second part of my post: the 21st century internet wars.

If you're a frequent internet user on "mainstream" sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blah blah blah, you have probably experienced having a fight with someone on the net. This is called "internet flame" - meaning someone is starting a "flame" or a "war" with someone, especially to one whom the poster thinks is a dumb or stupid person. Sometimes, conflicts go from ideologies to even personal attacks. This is very shameful and disgusting.

When I watch videos that are in the current trends or are just too controversial, I usually see a lot of posters / users fighting each other with trash words that are simply idiotic and pointless. As a precaution, just don't "saw-saw" with them or butt in to their conversation - you'll just mess things up. They'll realize soon what they did was wrong.

Here's one "netiquette" advice that I am strongly supporting right now: "Learn to respect others". Don't attack someone just because he or she's different, his answer was dumb or stupid, or anything like that. Imagine if you're the dumb one who would get attacked like that. Seriously, from celebrities, singers, politicians, and even to other famous people like athletes - a lot of them do cat and dog fights on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites. But believe me - I have never seen (in all my life) anything as brutal, stupid, and jerk-like as YouTube posters.

Just one reminder: if you find a person completely violent, offensive, or doing excessive spams, you can always use the Report or Flag buttons. But then again, users like that will ALWAYS create another account, so flaming and spamming couldn't really be abolished that easily. We should just give up and accept that God allowed the existence of such people.

So here's the summary for my second post: "Accept other people's opinions and shut up when you need to." A peaceful and children-friendly World-Wide-Web is not really impossible if we take the responsibility to clean it from absurdness and stupidity.

To summarize the whole post, we should all learn something. Forgiveness is a gift from God, so we should use it wisely. Sinners are also humans. Idiots are also humans. And all human beings deserve forgiveness, because that's how God want it to be - a world giving each other respect, peace, and love.

I am proud to present to you this.

During the days of uncrossable oblivion, thousands of cheap smiles entangled my very personality. These days that I cannot let go. These days that I yearn for all of my life. These days that I was proud to say:

"IGNORANCE IS A BLISS".

As I felt the soothing rain and play some saggy piano music for backdrop's sake, I began to mesmerize these stupid yet meaningful memoirs called "childhood". The endless days of being free with your teddy bear. Running around and screaming with slime on your face. Creating dozens of life-contaminating secret ingredients. Experimenting on tears and how salty they taste when you lick on them. I cannot ask for more.

There was no such thing as Facebook. Not even Twitter. There was only HTML, Yahoo Messenger, and Internet Explorer. Dealing with wizards from all kinds of worlds was just a piece of apple pie. Those who are precious to you still remain, though you may not realize it sooner. You spend time with them doing nonsense things, even things that would defy all human rules. Even things that would destroy your future.

Music was grandiose during those eras. I was able to soar with wings made up of sheet music and redundant lyrics, and it was okay. My heart could touch all kinds of non-winged sparrows, black and white. There was no need for cellphones. There was no need for soap operas. And more importantly, there was no need for outside rallies.

As the subtle strings of the melodies I hear pass my ears by, I float on a strange utopia. That place where things can be reset. The place where things are simple and pointless. Where pixel 3D graphics run wild. Where fire and ice combine with each other to form a beautiful display of glorious light showers. Dolls accompany you to your favorite hang-out places like dreamy beaches and swimming pools that you can actually breathe on, even underwater.

The look of innocent eyes were just around the corner. Thousands of fruit shakes await every lobster's dreams. Like floating on a summer boat without remorse nor regret. All of the Catholic churches give to the poorest of poor. Community leaders conduct informal festivals. Schools just do everything they can to make students happy.

Books were filled with meaningful pages that eventually evolve into songs from abstract feelings. The butterflies that are now distorting my brain were once sugar fairies that embraced me wherever I went. Words were always filled with warmth and kindness. Seeds of hope grow into beautiful trees for everyone to sit or lie down and start to think about their future dreams. These dreams were vast and very possible. There were no firewalls yet.

Soulful poems drive my spirit into the hazy sky where everyone's desires were connected.
And now those dreams are nothing but photo albums.
Photo albums that only serve as shadows.
Shadows that lurk in the dark.
The dark forsaken room.
Where a box lies sealed away forever.

Ar Tonelico III: Good or Bad?

Some say that AT3 wasn't really necessary. Some say it's still awesome because it's part of the AT series. But which is right? Don't worry, I'll keep this post as neutral as I can do. And sorry if it's AT2-sided somehow. I haven't played AT1. This is only my personal opinion.

The Good Side:

Qoga still retains the basic principles of reyvateil battles like in AT1 and AT2, but in 3D and a gameplay similar to the Tales series. The characters are cute and the game looks more challenging and real-time. The soundtrack is still as good as ever, especially the Side Blue (KOKIA and Akiko Shikata's songs). Some characters from the previous games return.

The Bad Side:

Some may find the Red Side and the OST quite annoying. I personally prefer the OST of AT2, because the melodies are catchy and more relaxing. AT3 BGMs seem to lack power. The overall game also seems to be like an "unnecessary extension" of the series, because of a less serious plot. And of course, not everyone will like the purge system, which makes the game more -- you know.

Some Differences:

A not-so-notable difference between AT3 and the previous games is the character and culture naming. AT3 is more "Japanized" than AT1 and AT2, especially with the names (Saki, Aoto, Tatsumi, Hikari Gojo).

My Opinion:

Regarding the purge system: well, it's Ar Tonelico after all. I mean, there's the Installs and Dualstalls too, right? And the Combo Magic in AT2. Overall, the AT series may have some innuendos but that's what makes it Ar Tonelico. What matters is the story, not those -- stuff.

Here's an example: Lady GaGa. Why do people still love her even with her over-decorated, seductive, and sacrilegious music videos? The answer is one word: "Art". There's a reason why nude paintings are considered "art". Specifically, the phrase "Art for Art's Sake" (as taught by my professor) means that you enjoy art for yourself regardless of what other people think.

Regarding the Hymmn Concerts: I know people love relaxing melodies and hate annoying melodies. But why are there people who love songs that include screaming, growling, and most of all, usage of different languages? It's just a matter of appreciation and the point of view of the listener. You don't say "I hate that singer", but you should say instead "I dislike that kind of music". And you can't hate something if you don't understand it well. For example, how can you hate Lady GaGa or Justin Bieber without knowing the reason behind their music careers?

The same concept with horror. If you don't know the reason why Sadako Yamamura comes out of the TV trying to kill everyone, if you don't know her story, then you'll get scared of her. But if you did, you would grab her hand and help her get over her psychological problems.

So here's my final advice: don't shoot an anime or a video game because you think it sucks. It wasn't made for a specific person only, it was made by the creators' will. Akira Tsuchiya gave birth to the AT series and we should respect his works just as we respect Akiko Shikata's works, even on her oldest works.

Again, this is only my personal opinion. If you don't agree with me, feel free to comment your inner rage back to my face so I can get a taste of meh.

Yesterday, I tried to fly. But everything's still the same.
The endless cycle of dreams, the never-ending game.

Since I was a child, I dreamed of high blue skies.

Look's like Neverland is unreachable after all.

Was I really meant to live in a fantasy-less world?
Just accepting scientific opinions and doing what I'm told?

I want to be free. I want to relax in the atmosphere.

Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica.

Because I love Akiko Shikata's works from the game itself, I've decided to buy the game and give it a shot. I turned out to be quite similar to Silhouette Mirage, Final Fantasy Series, and a mix of some dating-sim games, but more unique and addictive. In fact, almost all of the characters, themes and places there have references to some other media. Here are a few examples:

So anyway, that's what I'm currently addicted to nowadays. I finished Luca's path and now I'm playing on Cloche's path. It's actually interesting that some of Cloche's experiences reflect on mine as well. And not just that, her songs are provided by Shikata. Now isn't that cool? =)

Willie Revillame's case with "Jan Jan", the awesome kid dancer.

Well...the show still isn't airing and our main man was filed a criminal case. I guess some people never learn how not to be a CRAB. Clearly, they didn't know that Jan Jan was going to do a bar dance, so how in the world could that be child abuse? Geez.

TV station wars these days really piss me off. This is why I don't watch TV that much anymore.

Lady GaGa's "Judas" single.

A controversial musician meets a controversial biblical figure, oh yeah. Well I did some research and examination of the lyrics. It's not really sacrilege; it's just Gaga repenting for her sins that she ran away from. The Judas in the song represents all of her bad stuff that she must now face, and that's why she wrote that song.

Music-wise, it's a good song, better than Alejandro. But it clearly has the same style as some other Gaga songs like Bad Romance, Poker Face, etc. The music video will premiere on May 1, according to some sources.

Well, it's just art, right? Just like Dan Brown's stuff if you know what I mean.

Let me warn you first: This is one hell of an awesome movie for me, no matter what you think. It's up to you. :D

First of all, Sucker Punch is something to learn from for people who are losing hope in this world or are suffering badly (like me :D). It defies all harsh reality and creates an alternate universe where everything is possible. In watching that movie, everything made sense.

The movie's protagonist, Baby Doll, was requested to collect five items to be free.

1. Map. The map symbolizes our mission; what we want to aim for, where we want to go, and the way to go there. In any RPG or video game, you would get lost without a map. It's the same as you'll get lost if you don't know where you will go in reality. For me, a map is like a college course.

2. Fire. It is something that drives you to fight. It ignites your soul, pushing you forward against all odds. It's what you would want to show to the world, not just to gain momentum, but to express yourself and who you are. For me, fire is like emotions that drive physical and mental talents like singing and dancing.

3. Knife. It is something you use to defend yourself and attack your enemies. It is your means of fighting and surviving an almost Godless world. It is something you either use for good or bad. For me, a knife is like your own talents and abilities in any kind of field.

4. Key. The key is very important, as it unlocks the next stage or a box of a rare item. It will get you to places never been seen nor heard. For me, a key is like a final exam, a resume for a job, or transcript of records/diploma.

5.The mysterious object (you'll have to watch the movie to find out). It is something you can only discover on your own. And when you do, you'll find true freedom.

Do you know why I cried when I watched the movie? Because I can relate to it so much. Baby Doll is like me, trying to escape a harsh reality by struggling to create an imaginative world inside her head to be free of the suffering. I say it's not a bad thing. Everyone of us has a weakness. The world is as damn unfair as it can get these days. Sometimes, we will need all the help we can get. And that help could just come right out of our own minds.

"You control this world." That's right. Everything that makes you suffer in pain, kill them with your mind. Because in the end, the only person who could help you in the worst possible time is yourself.

As for me, I feel like I have the right imagination, the right friends, the right super powers, weapons, etc. All I needed to do was to fight for what I, or should I say we, believe in.

Make a stand for your own perception of life. Let no one destroy you, for you are yourself and no one else.

Now...FIGHT! :D

Cubase + Fight for Japan

First of all: Japan.

I choose not to watch TV, read news, or anything that will remind me of the tragedy in Japan. Seriously. Why not other countries? Filipinos, before you criticize Japan because of the Japanese Occupation during WW2, please take time to realize that they are human beings like us.

I mean, if you watch the news or hear from the radio, Japanese people are firm, strong, and disciplined people. When there's earthquakes and wreckage, they help each other. They don't take advantage of other people's stuff. They don't do crab mentality.

Unlike here in the Philippines, even the slightest fire accident has robbers. Talk about being double-crossed. Sheesh.

Well, enough of that. I know that our country has less than 10% chance of being a successful country, since almost every corner has corruption, taking advantage, and crab mentality. It'll probably stay that way forever. Unless the people realize their mistakes.

On to the next topic!

Second: The Journey to Cubase!

After a bunch of suggestions from our underground band friends, I've decided to try out Cubase for a change. Unlike FL Studio, you need to have intermediate skills for this software. But because I got used to MIDI sequencers like Jazz MIDI, I got the hang of it pretty well. And it's kind of like Reason too.

Okay, here's what I've noticed: the instruments are frickin' SUPERB, especially the orchestral ones. And well, I still have a lot to learn though. But even so, I'm currently working on an original song and a piano cover. The pianos there are just as awesome too.

Not to mention, CPU isn't much (I don't know yet for the synths xD).

Three special events!

Fairy Tail Episode 68 Premiere.

Probably the best FT episode ever. But because of that, I might stop watching for now, due to LACK OF JELLAL-NESS. xD

Anyways, what I felt there was beautiful. Erza and Wendy's loss are highlighted in a very colorful, dramatic way and it captured my heart. I felt the same because I had the same experience. Beautiful. It makes me want to cry. But I knew it was going to happen, I was just avoiding myself in facing it. =)

Well, there's still the fanfics I'm going to write, right? And besides, even Lelouch from Code Geass was kept alive by the fans despite the last episode.

And no, Jellal didn't die though. Just watch it. xD

Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" Music Video Premiere.

Yes! Gaga's back! And what a stunningly cool video. Although the song is kind of avant-garde-ish, the lyrics are beautiful. Super beautiful and inspiring. I wish everyone (not just in the mainstream) could appreciate the true value of art, which Lady Gaga already appreciates. =)

Justin Bieber's 17th Birthday.

Awaken the Sarimanok! Nokia Auditions @ ABS...?!

Even we couldn't believe it. O_O

Yesterday (Feb. 10), we were invited for an audition in the Nokia Music Connection artist/musician search. One of my friends (Champ) submitted a video of our band CC Project online with only the intent of being featured on the site. But just a few days ago we were contacted by Nokia & Star Records that we were shortlisted for the contest (meaning we have the potential to make it in the eliminations). We were like...O________O!?

"Even just being invited in ABS-CBN for us is one big honor", we thought. And it's worth the experience too. Despite the many stupidities in Manila nowadays (carnapping, bombing, etc.), I'm thankful that God never abandoned us and made that day very special and happy for us.

Not to mention the celebs. Fooo!

We first saw Randy Santiago & John Estrada. Then Kiray. Then Jason Francisco, who thought I was a little kid (meeting Jason was the most hilarious part of the day). Our drummer Mycoh & Champ's best friend Fhil were taking pics with Jason but I wanted to join and he said "Hoy Bata! Ikaw ba?" (Hey kid, how 'bout you?) I laughed like an idiot...really. I hurriedly went to them and made a mistake by exiting in the entrance lane, not knowing there was an exit lane. That was one hell of an epic fail but it was the best! xD

Then other celebs passed by, such as VJ Chino, Jugs Jugueta, Maricar Reyes, etc., while we were waiting for one of the organizers to call us for audition. We were called around 4 pm.

The inside of the building was like a mall itself. It was like a dream. You see, my childhood dream was to be able to go to ABS-CBN. When I was a child, I even bought a map of Manila and looked for the different TV stations LOL.

The studio was awesome. The whole place was darn awesome. I expected for both the worst and the best as we walked right into that studio, knowing what happened to our "sister" band Emiline and my PGT Semi-Finalist idol Fame Flores. But I want to make a stand...for everyone who believes in their dreams.

Telebisyon: Saan ka na ngayon kakampi?

Kung "Pinoy" ka, alam mo na sa kasalukuyan ay tatlong TV stations ang naglalaban-laban para sa ratings galing sa mga manood ng ating bansa. Hindi ko na kailangang sabihin pa, dahil mas feel ko i-blind item nalang, gaya ng "The Who" series ng mga Lucena Hard Gays.
Ngayon, paano nga ba nagsimula ang kompetisyong ito?

Bata pa ako noon. Wala akong pakialam kung anong palabas sa TV. Pero masaya ako sa makasaysayang ATBP (Awit, Titik, Bilang at iba pa), ginintuang Batibot, at ang mahiwagang Wansapanataym. Syempre cartoons din, noh? Hep hep, back to the topic. Bibigyan ko ng code letters ang bawat istasyon, upang hindi na kayo malito. Ang unang istasyon ay si "Station 1 (S1)", ang ikalawa ay si "Station 2 (S2)" at syempre ikatlo ay si "Station 3 (S3)". Hindi na titik ang ginamit ko, baka mahalata eh.

Dati kaming nanonood palagi ng S2, dahil sa noontime at kiddie shows nila, etc etc. Pati movies sinusuportahan namin. Ngunit nagbago ang lahat ng ininfluensyahan ng tita ko ang nanay ko na manood ng S1, dahil hindi daw masyadong "baduy", di katulad ng S2. Ayan, mas ayos nga naman eh. Actually, hindi ko maintindihan pero kahit gusto kong balikan ang S2 eh wala na akong makilala at hindi ko na maapreciate. Dun ako nagkamali. Halos pareho lang pala sila in terms of program arrangement. Nagkaiba lang sa mga artista.

Napagtanto ko: hindi ka pala dapat nakikinig palagi sa sinasabi ng iba, dahil hindi sa lahat ng oras ay tama sila. Gov Nantes...pasensya na po talaga. SLN =(

Anyway, napaliko nanaman ang topic na ito, haha. Maganda ang S2, pero ang S3 pinapanood ko rin. Kaso noon, hindi pa masyadong sikat ang S3 dahil iba pa ang management. Ang kauna-unahang anime kong napanood ay napanood ko dito sa S3. Nagulat nalang ako at bigla ulit sumibol ang S3 sa panibagong pangalan at pamamahala. Pero bago yun...

Nadiskubre ko ang mga mali ng S2 at S1. Una, medyo napapansin ko lang na marami silang "behind the camera stuff" na hindi natin nalalaman. Audience manipulation. Kadalasan, parang mga negosyanteng gusto ng mas maraming balik sa kanila. Hindi naman sa sinisiraan ko. Gusto ko lang sana, eh mas maganda kung naging mas patas sila sa pagpapakita ng talento, palabas, at wag masyadong mukhang commercialized ang sining ng pag-arte at telebisyon, dahil ang musika, teatro, at pagsayaw ay isang SINING na hindi kailanman papantay sa mga commercialized na bagay. Hindi ito nabibili. Ito ay napakahalaga, parang emosyon.

Ang tunay na ibig sabihin ng pagiging artista ay hindi dahil gusto mo lang ng mas malaking kita para suportahan ang mga minamahal mo. Dahil napakadaming trabaho na madadaling gawin dito sa mundo (kailangan mo lang mag-self-study eh). Kulang nga lang sa Pilipinas kasi ang budget ay kapos. Ang tunay na ibig sabihin ng pagiging artista ay nais mong ipahiwatig ang bawat pintig ng puso mo't damdamin, na kahit anong sabihin nila ay hindi ka magpapakaplastik, at wala kang pinapanigang tao dahil binayaran ka o dahil kamag-anak mo o kaibigan mo. PATAS lang lahat. Mas maganda sana kung magiging ganun.

Pero nagkatotoo yun...well malapit na eh. Pero hindi sa S2 at S1, kundi sa mahiwagang S3, na humahataw na ngayon sa ratings. At kapag pinagpatuloy pa nila ito, maaaring umunlad ng tuluyan ang Pilipinas. Dahil sa huli, hindi sapat ang puro salita, kanta, sayaw, at kung anu-ano pa, na para lamang kumita ng pera. Dapat bawasan ng mga Pinoy ang masyadong business-minded at makikita nila kung ano ang nawawalang sangkap sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa. Kasi diba kung aalisin natin ang "crab mentality", ay yun na ang ating paglaya sa mga "dayuhan" ng ating buhay. Sa huli, ang mahalaga ay ginagawa mo ng maayos ang mga tungkulin mo sa iyong lupang sinilangan, na kahit walang camera sa harap o likod mo ay go parin!

Pinupuri ko ng lubusan ang S3. Naniniwala ako na hindi nila kayang mandaya upang kumita ng malaki, sapagkat sa kanila, pantay-pantay lang ang lahat. Kahit S1 o S2 ka, basta ang importante, maging masaya, maligaya at may takot sa Diyos.

Ay isa pa nga pala! Sinong nagsabing bawal ang walang drama teleserye kapag gabi? AYOS NGA YUN EH. Alam nyo kasi, para sakin (kung matatag ang inyong mga kalooban ay siguradong tatawanan nyo nalang ako), ang drama teleserye ay isang "redundancy" o pag-uulit. Bakit? Hindi ba't ang teleserye ay hango sa tunay na buhay? Kung malungkot ang tunay na buhay, tapos malungkot din sa teleserye, eh diba parang inulit mo lang yung sakit? Pahihirapan mo lang ang sarili mo. Hahaha.

So anyway...yun lang ang sa akin (masyado yata akong naging harsh, pasensya na ha, wala namang pangalan kaya hindi ako pwedeng kasuhan dahil opinion ko lang po ito). At isa pa, wala namang perpekto kunti si Manong Perfecto (joke lang yun). Ngayon, ang tanong ko: saan ka na ngayon kakampi?

Christmas PARTY PARTY! Fooo! It was a waste though. I wanted the notebook. But oh well, I guess things come at the right place at the right time. So yeah.

Trivia (the stuff that Beato might say in RED):

Kurumi Murasaki, known as the Immortal Goddess, has the power to give anyone immortality. These immortals can also pass their immortality via blood transfusion. Current known and existing Murasaki Immortals include, Klas Sigreto, Eiji Murakata, Naoko Asahi and Minako Harukata (via Eiji).

CCB (Computer Connection Brigade) is a secret underground group of programmers from Kaizen University. They accept website projects and software projects as well.

CCB Zerytes (Zerytes are zombie-like humans who died and posess some ghost-like powers) has the ability called "Data Space Hack", which allows them to open and edit events in the real world, or dreams, or even memories of people by simply typing codes in a three-dimensional terminal screen which they can summon anytime. Broken, Format, Null, and Debug are all CCB Zerytes while Filter is a CCB Vampire.

The Phantom Brothers, Lian and Shen, make a cameo appearance in Inochinureta, because the two stories happened at the same location.

Hana no Kaze was based from Lunetia's "The Wind of Flowers".

Diary of Broken was based from a painting I saw in the Fine Arts bulletin board of our university (I keep repeating this LOL).

821's concept was created because of our subject Art Appreciation.

1. He is actually 45 years old despite his appearance.
2. She is an orange-haired girl who also does time-travelling like Debug/Naoko, but spotted in a different story.
3. Despite from different stories, they are actually relatives (the first one is the aunt of the second one).
4. His girlfriend died frozen and looked like Format/Mato.
5. According to Eiji/Aji, this person's past reincarnation was a boy he helped during a war. He is now a CCB Zeryte.
6. She likes saying the phrase "Otanoshimini!" which means "Enjoy!".

How in the world did you get hooked into Fairy Tail after watching Umineko no Naku Koro ni?

We have three (3) eras today.

Agigati / Makiko / Aji / Mace era - regarding Akiko Shikata's low-pitched voice and the song VII, enough said. xD
Cyber-Horror / Broken / KowareHitomi era - regarding Diary of Broken and the characters, as well as the face-breaking, eye-killing, horror-packed stuff. xD
Jelal Fernandes / Erza Scarlet / Ange Ushiromiya / Fairy Seagulls era - the bond between the two animes was the link of the Tower of Heaven to Battler and Beatrice's game. xD

So I met Akiko Shikata and her magnificent "voices". She can do three voices, one high pitched (her normal), a middle pitch (like an opera girl), and a low pitch (like a guy which is xD). Then there came "Of Faith" and "Inochinureta", and the rise of the Murasaki Immortals. And then the CCB Zerytes (zerytes are zombies with ghost-like powers) from "Diary of Broken" and other side stories. Don't forget Time-Traveler and Moku Beato! Painting craze fooo! Thanks Enverga Fine Arts for leaving those paintings behind...?!

After that, Umineko was finally spotted. And then Jessica X Kanon proves the Broken X Format theory? Not to mention the Beato X Batora stuff. So yeah I thought Fairy Tail was boring. Until the TOWER OF HEAVEN fooo! So okay...Jack Star look-a-like? Or does he remind me of Klas (Of Faith) and Aji/Eiji (Inochinureta) and yeah. Then there comes Maid-Sama as well. NO NOT THAT KIND OF...*click remote* xD

Sorry to say but Natsu's japanese voice is WAY better. Lucy reminds me of Nami (One Piece) or Elie (Rave). And yeah the one who made Rave is the same person who made Fairy Tail, so there. But Fairy Tail reminded me of my original story, Moon Angel...? AND YET the seiyuus (voice actors/actresses) connect. Daisuke Namikawa. Sayaka Oohara. Aya Hirano. Not to mention ITALY. Jelal's Axis Powers (Jelal's voice actor is Daisuke Namikawa, the one who voiced Italy in Hetalia Axis Powers). Akiko's VII and Katayoku no Tori (Songs have Italian words)i. Time-Traveler's crush who's like a mini-Edward Cullen (Vinci de Parda is Italian). AND BEATORICHE (Writes in Italian) HAHAHAHA! DX

But they all have a common theme right? KowareHitomi Zerytes (Go Erza) vs. SymbolEmbedded Immortals (Go Jelal)? NO I DID NOT STEAL ANYTHING LOSERS! Ahahaha wtf crazy mode. xD

Okay...what a weird title. xD

Finished all of Umineko no Naku Koro ni!

So what's next? Maybe Fairy Tail. Sure at first I got bored with the first episodes of Fairy Tail, but when I accidentally watched the episodes involving Erza's past...I was like "oh yeah, now THIS is anime!". xD

My opinion about Umineko? It was one hell of an awesome anime, with its mind-bending mysteries. And the most "gorrific" of all that I've seen too. Although I didn't watch Higurashi (sorry I wasn't quite interested with harem-type anime shows), I enjoyed Umineko very much.

Gimme some updates about your OJT churvaness!

My coordinator at Ionics, Sir Charlie Gerodias of the IT Dept. not only gives me tasks, but also teaches me Autodesk Maya...OH YEAH! My dreams of turning fantasy into reality is actually within my hands. But like mother said, no single person has every awesomeness in anything. One good example is in "real life". =)

Music career?

Thanks God and Champie that I won the UP AME Anime Remix competition! I just recieved the prize yesterday and the certificate today.

My wining piece was this.

A re-arrangement of Akiko Shikata's "Katayoku no Tori", the OP for Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I did everything in that re-arrangement. =)

On-The-Job Training @ Ionics

Well, here I am. IT Department, Plant 6, Ionics EMS, Inc., Cabuyao, Laguna. And yeah what a struggle to get used to going here and there and what not. But the good thing here is that aside from some computer-related jobs, I get some tutorials on 3D animation (Autodesk Maya 2008 oh yay) during my spare time (like today xD).

How about your music stuff?

I wish I had a laptop. For REAL. I miss my FL Studio, Reason 3.0, Audacity, and etc. I wonder if I could install such in this PC. Heheh. I still listen to the same kind of music though. And my special concept EP "Diary of Broken" is already finished, but I don't know when I can upload it yet. Five tracks based from the styles of Akiko Shikata, Yuyoyuppe and shemusic.

And now here are the cast of DOB to talk about the story of the concept EP. Heheh.

Inspired by our tragic story, Kazaki produced her first concept EP entitled "Diary of Broken". It's about love, revenge, sacrifice, face distortion, and most importantly, fighting for what you believe in. We hope that through this work, we can share our story throughout the world and people might learn from our mistakes and sacrifices. Akiko Shikata's vocal style

Here's my two newest songs inspired by Akiko Shikata!

Sora no Wata, Kieta Anata (You Disappeared in the Clouds)
-This song is written in Japanese and Lunaria (one of my original languages). "Sora no Wata" literally means "Sky Cotton" which refers to clouds. In this song, I experimented the technique of Akiko used in her song VII, where she sings in both high and low pitch. xD

Irs Ieeya (A Hope tha Exists)
-This song is written in Hymmnos, the language used in the Ar Tonelico games. This is also my comeback song after a long hard journey for our thesis stuff (almost 2-3 weeks without Facebook nor FL Studio xD).

Original languages...?

Yes, I have created (so far) 4 original languages: Enidoukan, Ravanian, Senphal and Lunaria. I'll be releasing details about them on my website launch. Please watch for it.

Here are some basic examples:ENI: Ekou ni Kimi kozai.RAV: Ilch ne Koz kch ulbri.SEN: Tizish muai ort. LUN: IKS IA LORUS.

They all mean: "This is my world".

Fandoms and future plans?

Currently, I'm in the process of finishing a new concept album entitled "Diary of Broken". It will be composed of 5 tracks, under a psychedelic-like post-hardcore genre with a mix of neoclassical, J-rock, and experimental electronic. It was based from a drawing/painting I saw on our university's fine arts exhibit.

All I can say about the theme is: Happy Halloween!

Nakanaide... [Shikata Fandom yay!]

Well, these days I'm addicted to the music (and heavenly voice) of Akiko Shikata. For those who don't know her, she's a Japanese Neoclassical artist who did songs for the Ar Tonelico games, Tales of Symphonia and Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Apart from her dynamic gypsy-style compositions and wicked choruses, she also has the ability to sing in many different lanaguages, such as Italian, Greek, Hymmnos (the made up language of the Ar Tonelico games), and of course, Japanese. In short, she's like a Japanese Fame Flores. xD

I first discovered her from the song "Waterway~MIO", a song from the Ar Tonelico games, which I found on LimeWire long ago while browsing random Japanese songs. At first I thought she was just a composer, and I thought that the languages was Korean despite Akiko Shikata being a Japanese name. But I listened to it again one day and Googled the lyrics, which was actually Pastallia (a dialect of Hymmnos), that somehow looked like Jejemon with arithmetic symbols such as =, <, > and /.

Finally, I Googled Hymmnos. It turns out that Pastallia Hymmnos is actually very complex (even more than Jejemon xD). But the basic Hymmnos was pretty easy to learn.

And then the hype started. In this order:

Waterway ~MIO~ - first song I heard. Mentioned above.

Navigatoria - beautiful. Maybe even more than Mamiko Noto's "Aizome" (originally by Savage Genius).

From her pictures in the Katayoku no Tori single, it looks to me that she is Roman Catholic (based from her house style, the windows, as well as the lyrics of some of her songs).

Another plus from her is the ability to create complex vocal mixing and choruses, as if there are other singers on the track, but it's just her. IT'S JUST HER ON ALL OF THEM. (Pitching/downsampling perhaps? Interesting.)xD

SHE IS DEFINITELY AN ANGEL SENT BY GOD! I'm gonna die when I see her live. xD

THESIS UPDATE

Okay, so our 50% software thesis is quite done, we're off to some XML learning and figuring out how to design the dance game. It's gonna be a tough job, really.

The Wind of Flowers

Finally! Yuyoyuppe, Neko and Luschka (Hana-tan) collabed with each other to form an awesome Post-Hardcore/Progressive Japanese Rock band...THANK GOD! They also have a basist and a drummer. Their first song of their self-titled album is called "The Wind of Flowers", which is like a song for a deceased friend of theirs or something (as I listen to the lyrics).

And this gave me a cool idea for an original story. Nyeheheh. =)

Well, the C:\ reformat was somewhat okay, because I WAS planning to uninstall my tons of Vocaloid for the while that I'm not using it because of our dreadnought thesis. But I DO have to worry about getting another Microsoft Visual Studio installer. =(

By the way, our band CC Project are scheduled to play in a gig at Super Sound in Lucena City on August 19, 2010. We'll be playing four songs, including an original composition that we plan to make as our entry to an upcoming Edgefest. =)

At least even if my birthday yesterday was my last birthday as a kid (I'm 19 now xD), I'm still hoping that someday miracles WILL happen. Real miracles. Real magic. When time and space become connec- *falls off chair* ted. =)

Okay, here's my comments on the characters:

Airi - since her seiyuu (voice actor) is Fumiko Orikasa (the one who voiced Shirley from Code Geass), they share a lot of similarities such as having orange hair and being a HOPELESSLY OBSESSED ROMANTIC haha. Which is cute.

Aram - obviously the male half of the love team. Because of his brother's spell, he (who is around 12 years old) turns 17 whenever he's in a dark place. I was like... O: xDDDD

Jeile - Aram's brother...and resembles Gakupo Kamui! You'll see first that he looks like a nuisance, but he's really not. xD

What Talent Search Competitions Should Be.

1.) Gather rare, hard-to-find, and unique talent.
- For example, if the country already have lots of singers and dancers, then they should look for something else.

2.) Never be bias in judging.
- They should not give in to temptations such as emotions, audience span, and ratings. They must focus as much as possible on the talent itself, not just his/her appearance and charisma.

3.) Lessen/abolish text voting.
- Simply because text voting can be manipulated as easy as Local/National elections. A lot of TV programs today tell and showcase mostly lies and will do anything for high ratings.

4.) Never brainwash the audience.
- The same as the bias thing. They should not influence the audience on what should be 'cool'. This is the biggest problem in Philippine mainstream/entertainment, and why Filipinos lose originality.

5.) Pick professionals as the program staff.
- Judges/hosts and the like must be professional and must not be just famous. They must possess real judging skills and the knowledge of different music genres, dancing styles, talent fields and skills, etc.

Question: Who are my favorite Pilipinas Got Talent contestants? (Including semi-finalists)

1. Fame Flores - Classical Singer. She sings not only from her heart but also to God. Don't misjudge her as the same kind of singer like Sarah Geronimo or Charice. Her genre and vocals are completely different from Diva Pop and Mainstream music. Its classical music. She mostly sings in a mixture of English and Latin, and she sings them well. And just like J-pop (I have experienced this also), not everyone appreciates her genre/style because people today are brainwashed with cheap mainstream music with dull melodies and senseless lyrics (always about romance =_= ). Personally, I feel her pain. She gave me an inspiring message on FB though. "God gave us individual talents for us to cherish. Just put God in your heart and you'll never become weak." Very inspiring, huh?

2. Jeline Oliva - Violin/Piano Player. And more than that, she plays 12 instruments at a very young age! In her grand finals performance, she performed "Flight of the Bumblebee" in Violin, Drums and Piano! Now where else in the Philippines could you find that super-ultra-mega-rare and world class talent? I wish her good luck despite not winning the grand finals, and I really bet she'll make millions of lives change.

3. Alakim - Professional Magician. According to Luis and Billy, he is part of an international magician club whose members include David Copperfield and David Blaine! And he proved that kind of honor is what he deserved as he made a mind-killing, heart-stopping, breath-taking teleport act in the grand finals! Oh God, if you saw it, you'll probably be unable to speak for quite a while. Despite not getting the spot in the finals, I believe he will be very successful, if not here, maybe abroad, just like all other Pinoy talents do (sadly).

4.) Luntayao Family - Singing Family. Okay, so at first I didn't like them. But when they sang in Tagalog (instead of Beyonce's "Listen"), that made a difference. They are truly a symbol of Filipino culture and talent. And they've got a really neat blending as a group of blood-related singers.

5.) Baguio Metamorphosis - Fusion Music Group Dancers. A fusion of belly dancing and hip-hop dance. Very elegant (and colorful!) costumes and superb moves. They should really go a long way with that kind of determination and beauty.

6.) Ruther Urquia - Ventriloquist (Puppeteer). It's very fun watching him! Although there was already someone like him in Talentadong Pinoy who made it to the grand finals, Ruther had his own way of pleasing the audience and at the same time, having fun himself by making puppets appear as if they are normal people.

7.) Big Mouth - Singer who also does Animal Mimicry. Okay, so at first I thought he was just another performer in a bizarre costume, but I was wrong. That horse sound from his mouth gave me the chills and made me wonder "is that really him? LOL". He made other animal sounds as well, like monkeys, birds, etc. Despite not making it to the grand finals like Fame, BM is one cool fella whose performance videos are already famous in other parts of the world!

8.) Reggie Ramirez - Double Character (doble-kara) singer. Voice-wise, his talent is not really something other doble-kara singers can do everyday. It's not really easy shifting from low pitch to high-pitch that easy (I can tell because I sing too). Despite not making it to the grand finals, I think he also deserves to be recognized by Filipinos and the world with his fun and creative way of entertainment.

Yuyoyuppe and Hana-tan

I've recently been hooked to their music. They are underground musicians in Japan. Yuyoyuppe produces Screamo music (and Vocaloid music too), while Hana-tan does covers (a.k.a. Utatte Mita in Nico Nico) of Vocaloid songs. The two recently collaborated for an album called "Misericordia", which features Hana's vocals and Yupe's compositions. If I were in Japan, I'd buy it! =)

Owl City's Writing Style

I've read his official blog and his Facebook stuff, and came to a really weird conclusion: he writes super randomly, as in "An Airplane Brought me to my Bed", or something like that. Very strange. Even his lyrics are like that. Well, respect is all I can =| say. Another songwriter I idolize with the use of random (and rare) English words is KOTOKO. =)

Fourth Year College

Yes! I'm almost at the finish line! Foooo! Sei sei sei! Guess I just have a bunch of unwanted faces in the classes I'll be (and it's annoying =|). For now, I'm just taking a short relaxation mode due to my previous summer classes.

Noong araw na iyon ay nagkaroon ng isang Meeting de Avance para sa lahat ng kakandidato sa pagka-pangulo, bise-presidente, senador, congressman, mayor, vice mayor, at hanggang sa kadulu-duluhang mga posisyon sa gobyreno.

Napakadaming tao sa EDSA. Daig pa ang unang People Power Revolution noong 1986 na nakapagpatalsik sa administrasyong Marcos. Ganun din naman sa iba't ibang mga lalawigan at rehiyon - nagsisiksikan ang mga madlang people para lang makinig ang mga sinasabi ng mga pulitiko. Maging ang staff at guests ng Showtime, Wowowee, ASAP, Eat Bulaga, Talentadong Pinoy at iba pang mga programa sa telebisyon ay nakatunganga sa pambansang Meeting de Avance na sabay-sabay ginaganap sa buong kapuluan. Di nagtagal, lumabas ang isang representative ng Korea. Pinababa na niya ang mga armas ng kampo nila at sinabi sa mga Pinoy na uuwi na sila sa kanilang lupain, sapagkat nakita na nila ang tunay na pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino. Pagkabigkas niya ng mga salitang iyon, sumakay na siya sa kanyang private jet at nagsi-alisan na ang lahat ng dayuhan, Koreano at Intsik. Wala nang ibang natira sa bansang Pilipinas kundi ang mga Pilipino.

Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao. Sa wakas! Malaya ka na ulit. Nagdiwang ang mga Pilipino ngunit nagluksa din sa mga nawala sa kanila. Nagtulong-tulong ang mga namuno sa rebolusyon upang mai-rennovate ulit ang Pilipinas. Nagpadala sila ng mga lider sa iba't ibang rehiyon at itinigil na ang corruption. Tila nagising ang mga Pinoy sa katotohanang "ang pagtayo sa sariling paa ay isang malaking responsibilidad".

Makalipas ng ilang taon, taong 2018, naging normal na ulit ang bansang Pilipinas. Itinatag ang panibagong gobyerno kung saan ang namumuno na ay si Jun Lozada bilang Pangulo at si Efren Penaflorida bilang Bise-Presidente. Naging Secretary of National Defense and Peace Propagation naman si Cheri Ferrer, na ikinasal na kay Efren. Ang sweet noh?

Bukod doon, madami pang mga bagay ang nagbago. Hindi na tumakbo muli sa pulitika ang halos lahat ng mga kasali sana sa 2010 elections. Nag-retire na si Manny Pacquiao sa boxing at sa pulitika, at ipinamigay ang kalahati ng kanyang ari-arian sa mga mahihirap at mga biktima ng pananakop. Nagbukas ulit ang ABS-CBN, GMA, TV5 at iba pang mga channels ngunit nabawasan na ang bilang ng mga artista dito. Madami ang piniling tumulong nalang sa kapwa sa likod ng kamera. Pagdating sa musika, naayos na ang hidwaan ng mainstream at underground, at kapwa na sila tinatanggap ng mga madla people. At higit sa lahat, naging masaya at mapayapa ang Perlas ng Silangan.

Nawa'y magpatuloy ito hanggang sa mga susunod na siglo. =)

2010 Politicians - What;'s wrong with them?

It's actually been a long time since I last criticized Philippine politics, so I'll give it a shot today. Ahahahaha. Just kidding.

Have you seen the "pre-campaigning" ads of some known people? Many wonder if this is somewhat legal. But in my opinion, this is kind of wasteful - I mean, can't they just campaign during THE campaigning period and just announce their candidacy or whatever when they register? It's kind of like writing a birthday card to someone's birthday that's still 2 or 3 years to go! And besides, they'll just waste a lot of money that should be saved for the real campaigning period.

Secondly, there have been lots of HUGE (if not, slightly huge) bilboards, signboards, or tarpaulin signs of politicians either giving some holiday greeting or supporting a community/government project. That too, is a waste of cash. It would be much better if they would personally be on the project site and cooperate whole-heartedly, but not in a "plastic" manner. Also, if they REALLY need to put signs with their names on it, they should avoid making their name look bigger than the greeting or message itself - it's simply annoying.

And third (no offense showbiz people), people from the showbusiness or mass media should try (as much as possible) not to get involved into politics, because it will definitely scorn and destroy their image, as politics is one dangerous jungle to get out of. Politics is not just about money or power, nor does it involve stardom. Politics is simply serving your community and helping out making the world a better place (which I believe anyone can do). Also, politics and entertainment are two completely different fields.

So, people who are going to vote in the 2010 elections, please vote as wise as you can. Choose which politician TRULY deserves his or her crown. Choose the one who is sincere, who is not "all talk but no action", and one who has the right skills to be in his position. Good day everyone! Happy reading! :D

Analyzation of Mainstream Artists

1.) Lady GaGa

At first, yeah, maybe just one of those ordinary RNB women. But when I heard some of her other songs (not just Poker Face) like Paparazzi, I was stunned by her lyrics - simply artistic, as well as her music videos. Her genre is Synthpop, which is not very usual in the mainstream (usuall genres in the West are Hip-Hop, RNB and Punk Rock), so I think she is somewhat a "one-of-a-kind" artist. You don't really get to see performers like her everyday, right?

2.) Wonder Girls

Ahh yes, 'nobody' doesn't know about these. It's actually a nice thing for asian pop (Like K-pop) to be appreciated by the majority of music fans, but like I said in some of my previous posts, where's J-pop and why doesn't anyone appreciate it too? Anyways, forget that. Melody-wise, their biggest hit song is simply catchy and cool, and so is the music video, which personally made me laugh (I meant the guy stuck in the bathroom). But when I listened to some other songs from them, they weren't that much catchy at all - they're just somewhat creative in synthetic beats. Overall, WG ain't a bad group to listen to.

3.) 6CycleMind

First of all, I'd like to say sorry in advance to the fans for criticizing this band. And here we go. One thing I'd say about 6CycleMind is that not only do they keep their music style redundant and somewhat boring, majority of their talent is used for advertising purposes, which is not the main goal of music, because music is simply to express yourself regardless of monetary profit. Also, they need to explore other genres and expound their knowledge in music and melody/lyrics creation.

4.) Sarah Geronimo

Yeah, you may say I'd call her 'overrated', but I could be wrong. Although she is one of the most successful (and seemingly overrated) artists in Philippine Music, I like the way she shifts her music style/genre, especially with "Ikaw" and "Record Breaker", which are two of her songs that go outside of her normal 'Diva-Pop' genre. This is one technique in music that only a few artists (like Gwen Stefanni and Urbandub) practice. Some may criticize her childish attitude, but that's her own original style.

Birthday Celebration at Pueblo Por la Playa!

Last July 26, 2009, we had a multi-celebration on the beautiful resort called Pueblo Por la Playa. Not only it was my cousin, Priscilla (the same name as my mom)'s birthday the next day, we also celebrated other birthdays, such as mine, and my cousin Lance. And mom's too!

Pueblo isn't your ordinary beach resort. It's an exclusive tropical paradise where only members could enter. Just so happened that my Auntie's friend was a member of the said resort.

According to the news on TV, Former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino died of cardiopulmonary arrest after complications of colon cancer, on August 1, 2009, 3:18 AM, at age 76. Her son, Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, stated this quite shocking news on TV.

As a Filipino whose parents witnessed her courage and faith in God during the 1986 People Power Revolution, I salute her, and she deserves to be honored. Also, she suffered so much from her colon cancer, and death took all of the pain away.

Wherever she is, she will always be looked up to as a symbol of peace and unity for the Filipino people who aim for the greater good. May God bless her! =)

Mainstream in the Philippines Rant.

Let me explain what has always been in my head for weeks and keeps bugging me in my sleep. It's none other than the current mainstream music that Filipino fans love. Of course I know that J-Pop/K-Pop lovers aren't very "mainstream" material unlike western music.

But what happens when K-pop leaves J-pop behind and becomes THE mainstream? How does that feel, fellow J-pop fans?

Of course, it feels sad. i_i

With the exception of 2NE1 (The group that involves Sandara Park), it's just unfair that Filipino fans seem to like K-pop more than J-pop, making it mainstream, while J-pop and K-pop are pretty much the same when it comes to style! The only difference is their language, so why K-pop?

Here were my observations:

1.) Koreans have more shows on Philippine TV than Japanese. Makes sense, now I know it's the TV stations doing this. i_i

2.) Anime and J-pop fans are usually being discriminated here in our pretty little country called Philippines, while Chinese and Korean pop gets all the glory. Discriminated you say? That's simply because they think Anime is for kids, and Japanese people are not interesting (since Japanese conquered our country once). i_i

3.) Care to give some more reasons guys?

So that's what I think. And I think that if Koreans are in the mainstream, THEN SO SHOULD THE JAPANESE! Because it's not just me who love's J-pop. There are a million J-pop fans out there. You guys (the J-haters) just don't know how to appreciate us. =]

Hey everyone! I'm posting my newest topics to blog about...

01 - Porygon's Seizure Issue.

On December 16, 1997, lots of children suffered seizures from watching a Pokémon episode called "Electric Soldier Porygon", which contained flashing light scenes of red and blue, because of Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack. This incident got the episode banned from the rest of the world. How sad. -_-

And the sad thing is, because of all of this, Porygon and its evolved forms, Porygon2 and Porygon-Z can't appear in another Pokémon episode! The thing is, it wasn't poor Porygon's fault. I'm not really antagonizing Pikachu, but he's the real reason for the flash flash thingy. -_-

However, despite that "Pokémon Flash" incident, the episode is pretty cool! All because of the computer-like atmosphere that reminds me of my course (which is BS Computer Science). XD

02 - Exit Trance Presents...

Here's something for all J-pop and Trance fans! I just found a really awesome set of Anime songs...trance-remixed! Check them out here!

The songs are just awesome! And it's not just one album, there are a bunch more on the archives! I personally like "Sousei no Aquarion" and "Zankoku na Tenshi no THESIS", as well as "Hishoku no Sora". They also have an awesome remix of "O2" by Orange Range, which is the OP theme for Code Geass R2!

Ikarishipping!

It all started with a YouTube Caramelldansen video of Dawn (Hikari) and Paul (Shinji) from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl entitled "Ikarishipping Caramelldansen". So I Wiki-ed what Ikarishipping means. Turns out that it's the name of a Dawn & Paul pairing!

Don't they look cute together...? I mean, opposites attract, right? The sweet-innocent-looking Dawn and the powerful-and-rude Paul...this is pretty interesting indeed. :D

Wobbuffet madness!

"WOBBA~WOBBAFFEEET!!" I'm sure all Pokémon fans know about Team Rocket's cute little Pokémon that's so adorable and funny! Ahahaha. XD

According to Wiki, Wobbuffet's Japanese name is Sonans [Sounansu], and is based from a Japanese comedian who has the habit of putting his hands on his forehead.

Still, Wobbuffet, for me, is the best Pokémon you'll ever see! "Counter Attack!"

WWESVR09's Career Mode.

Okay, so this new Career Mode in the game looks pretty easy at first. But when it comes down to the last two championships, it's as if they won't allow you to even move! The computer will reverse EVERY attack you make! And that's really disappointing. -_-

Well, at least, the Road to Wrestlemania mode is cool. Let's go Batista and Rey Mysterio! :D

Hayden's Scandal...?

Yes I know, every Filipino knows about this. -_-;;

Okay, basically, from my observation, it's really Hayden's fault, because he took the videos himself, and that's....that's pretty much unethical. Even if he says that those videos were just part of his private diary, well, that just proves how much he likes to watch those kind of stuff. Just my opinion though, please do not shoot me! +_+

Croagunk's effective perv stopper!

Yes, I really love the way Croagunk stops Brock from getting his hands on girls. Poison Jab! Hahaha! It's just so entertaining! And it's not just that! Croagunk also saved Brock once in the episode "Enter Galactic!", rescuing him from an attack by Team Galactic. Also, whenever Ash's gym battles are going on and Team Rocket is sneaking quietly, without anyone noticing, he gives them a Poison Jab sending them...blasting off again! I'd say, Croagunk is one brilliant Pokémon!

John Morrison vs. The Miz....?!

Seriously, The Miz's entrance theme sounds a little boring, because it's just some instrumental rock BGM. On the other hand, his Tag Team Partner, John Morisson, has a more interesting BGM, especially the fog horn intro. LOL

Why Dream Theater rocks!

Formerly called Majesty, Dream Theater is by far the best Progressive Metal band I've heard! I mean, why not? Their songs are so dynamic that almost no part is ever repeated! Also, it's pretty interesting that usually, their songs are so long, that there is one called "A Change of Seasons" that lasts for 22 minutes! Wow! That's just super-talented!

Not to mention their awesome lead guitarist, John Petrucci (my best friend's idol), is so talented that he can make up lead parts for almost 30 minutes (according to my friend) on the spot! Talk about never running out of melody! O_O;;

Yu-gi-oh!: Forbidden Memories...flashbacks!

I remember when I used to have my PS1. I play this game all the time, as I was a Yu-Gi-Oh! addict back then. XD

The cards I loved so much were Crimson Sunbird, Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon, Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and Mystical Elf. There were a whole lot more too! Hahaha! XD

Tara na sa Mang Inasal!

I remembered our trip to Manila, for the CISCO Conference. We stopped by SM Mall of Asia, and had dinner at Mang Inasal. That was the very first time I tasted such delicious chicken! So I was very happy that they opened a branch here in our place as well! Now we can eat some awesome chicken inasal whenever we want, by just going to SM City Lucena's branch!

Just hope soon I will finally be able to eat in a Japanese restaurant, and be able to eat real Japanese food. My parents never take me there, but I love Japan. -_-

LaMB Inspired Music Video - The Featured It!

Dear Everyone,

Animax, a Japanese animation channel, presented LaMB, an original animated movie, in which the original story was written by a Filipino. I was inspired by this animated series, and composed a song about it. As I am self-studying Japanese language, I managed to create my own Japanese theme song for the series, and not just that! I also arranged the song (using FL Studio, a music program for Windows), and sang it too!

After I posted it on YouTube, I suddenly found Animax's channel. So I've decided to contact them, and show them this song of mine. They said they were impressed, and asked permission to feature it on their website!

A few weeks later, I recieved a package straight from Singapore! My parents were surprised: it was from Animax Asia itself! There were Animax souvenirs, like a t-shirt, cap, a LaMB poster, a Gundam Toy Model (like a Japanese Toy Robot), and of course, a contract that I needed to sign for them to be able to publish my song on the internet. Me and my mom signed it and mailed it back to them. We waited for a few weeks.

And now the day has come! Look at this!

I have this manga called "Manga Messiah", an adaptation of Jesus' life as told in the bible. It's a very interesting piece of art, since lots of us here are manga-lovers (admit it xD), and this will definitely strengthen your faith in God! For those who aren't Catholics, you can read it too, so that you may know who Jesus (Yesuah in the manga) really is! ^___^

You guys should get a copy! I just bought it in a Philippine Christian Bookstore located in our SM City Lucena (Or maybe other SM branches).

1.I have sensitive emotions. I cry easily. D:
2.I love randomness. ^_^
3. I am currently in love with someone. ^____^
4. I know my guardian angel. ^_^
5. I am currently obsessed with Code Geass and Chaos;Head.
6. I have many talents/hobbies, like drawing, composing songs, net surfing/computer programming, writing stories, and a lot lot more.
7. I have an odd hatred for overrated things.
8. I lose consciousness once I started brainstorming on my stories.
9. I love mangoes and seafood.
10. Big Brother and Dramas makes my eyes and my heart sore. Yes they do. D:
11. I think some world leaders today are FAIL. (No offense, though)
12. I have the same necklace as Pete Pumps (Ginban Kaleidoscope) and Yuri Shibuya (Kyou Kara Maou!).
13. I play Solitare, Zuma, Pinball, and Text Twist if I am totally bored. xD
14. One of my former hobbies include reading dictionaries.
15. I dislike internet people who don't give importance on newbies or infamous people, just because they're busy or lazy. Newbies should be guided. ^_^
16. Whenever I'm involved in internet flames, I can't sleep at night. D:

19. I became super obsessed with Yu-Gi-Oh! before, that I had a box full of cards! But eventually, I gave the rare cards to my cousin for display.

21. I also listen to a couple of emo-style artists such as Red Jumpsuit and MCR.
22. I fear butterflies and lizards. Include Sadako's ghost on the list.
23. I'm currently self-studying Nihonggo (Japanese).
24. Almost all of my school stuff have my name on them, to prevent loss.
25. I am childish. Enough said. ^_^
26. I got banned from YouTube once. Notice that my username is not kazaki03, but Crisel15.
27. I make flash animations and post them on YouTube. :D
28. I compose original songs using FL Studio, and record my voice. ^_^
29. I am extremely addicted to noodles, and currently trying to control it.
30. One of the recurring places I see in my dreams is a mall called "Fantasie Mall".
31. To keep my journal from being boring, I draw random sketches and stuff on my entries.
32. I have lots of backup CD/DVD's with all of my stuff on them, to prevent loss in case of reformatting.

34. Some simple things can make me pissed off easily. For example, failing to defeat a game boss many times.
