Pacquiao vs. Algieri: Some Thoughts

It's once again a national holiday in the Philippines due to a boxing fight: Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri. I know that our "Filipino Pride" is something that cannot be changed, so I'll go on analyzing other things than "athlete patriotism".

Okay, first thing's first is the fact that a choir replaced the usual "whoever pop diva" singing the National Anthem. Good way to avoid controversies.

Another is that the fight being held at Macau can also escape the "bias" controversies, since Pacman is known to have billions of American supporters, and that going to Macau gives a more "fair" atmosphere...or who knows.

Sadly, there isn't really anything much to say about the fight, because we can clearly see the difference in skills of the two boxers, e.g. Algieri keeps on dodging Pacman's attacks and couldn't even land his fist as much as the Pinoy champ's previous opponents. What's worse is that he keeps falling in almost every round. No wonder it results to a unanimous decision.

On the other hand, the Thai guy who looked like Pacquiao also did great.

But it looks like there's more the reason for the vs. Mayweather fight to happen, since Pacman is slowly gaining his momentum. Or must we keep waiting longer like in the case of Kingdom Hearts 3?
