Pros and Cons of Being a Fan

Let's face it: all of us are fans of something, or at least, we might have used to be if we left it behind. Most of us adore a certain celebrity, singer, business icon, comedian, critic, politician, band, show, and everything else in between. But how far is too far?

With the recent uproar of 1D (One Direction) fans going hysterical over fast selling out of VIP tickets in their latest concert here in the Philippines, and the much-earlier story in Japan, during the Free! Season 2 announcement, where fangirls fought over the shortage of Makoto Tachibana (character from the anime)'s posters, using traffic cones, you gotta wonder: is being a fan of something really safe or not?

Who is the Real Enemy? (X-Men: Days of Future Past Movie Review)

I don't usually watch big-time Hollywood movies, but today will be another exception, aside from The Avengers two years ago.

X-Men: Days of the Future Past, is actually the very first X-Men movie I ever saw (forgive me, I'm not really much into Marvel stuff, but I like super powers in general). I'm here to do a short review of the film, since me and my bf just watched it this afternoon.

McDonald's - Happiness in a Box + Cover Version!

Usually, I don't remake/cover commercials, but this is one big heck of an exception.

Just almost a week or two ago, McDonald's Philippines started airing this wonderful commercial:

"Let's go up in space or in the deep blue sea
Play with a robot and jump over the trees
Ride a choo-choo train, fly up the sky
Discover happiness in a box for you and me!"

As a kid-minded 22-year-old, THIS IS ABSOLUTE BEAUTY FOR ME.

Kazaki's PewDiePie Stuff!

Most of us are aware of the famous YouTube gamer/comedian, PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg). I've been part of his "Bro Army" for some time ago, around 2012, when I discovered him from the horror comic "Bongcheon-Dong Ghost". Later on, I discovered Ib from his LPs (Let's Plays) and the rest is history.

I'm posting this so that fellow "bros" will know that I make PewDiePie-related stuff too, and most are quite underrated/unnoticed.

PewDiePie Adventures (Original Album/Music)

This is an original work, full album, based from PewDiePie's Amnesia characters (and the Happy Wheels ones), when I first got into the Pewds fandom. Originally, I noobishly e-mailed him a suggestion for him to do vocals on some of the songs, but well, reality sucks. And, I lost to billions of fans who did dubstep that reached them to millions of views on YouTube, while my stuff are left in the back drawers.

DIY Queen Elsa Dress (?)

Okay, first of all, I'm not really good at sewing. Really. I just tried so hard. XD

Anyways, I made a Queen Elsa dress (from the movie "Frozen") for my Barbie doll out of boredom.

New Album: "Inside a Dream"

Guys, I have just released a new album called "Inside a Dream", also part of the Lost Utopia Series.

Inside a Dream is basically a continuation of short songs from my individual LU albums and some are English versions of other LU-related songs I’ve released in the past.

Don't Lose Your Way: Alagwa (Movie Review)

I know a lot of Kill la Kill fans recognize my title very well. XD

Anyways, I'm here to do a review of one of the most influential films (an indie film, surprisingly, since I'm not very much into those) that I've seen in my entire life. Let's just say, Alagwa connects to my life a lot more accurately than other movies (although most films, anime and shows I've seen always have connections with my current/past life situations anyway, like they're meant for me LOL).

What's the movie about?

Forgive the quality, I just watched it on CinemaOne. XD
Alagwa (Breakaway) is a dark, twisted tale of a single parent Robert Lim (Jericho Rosales) and his son Brian (Bugoy Carino) as the boy gets unexpectedly lost in a mall and his father strives in desperation to find him. He soon traces his son's whereabouts to a contact person from a child-trafficking syndicate (Smokey Manaloto) and negotiations begin.

Worst/Best LSS Commercials on Pinoy TV

Disclaimer: this is only a personal opinion and not to be take as a serious form of libel by the advertisers/personalities. I REPEAT: THIS IS ONLY A PERSONAL OPINION. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes and the right to say that to your face.

What's your Googliness Level? - The Internship (Movie Review)

Alright, finally gonna do another movie review! This time, it's a rather old movie that I was supposed to watch before but never got the chance to, and now I just saw it on TV (Star Movies).

For those who think this is a random office-setting movie, you're wrong. Heck, it's not even an office: it's a playground for minds with so-called "Googliness" - yep, we're talking about Google Headquarters - Googleplex.

Accurate Filipino Charts

I've seen these a lot of these funny Pie Chart memes that have been circulating around the Internet. So, I had the idea of creating some of my own (I hope they're not that corny). They're mostly my point of view on our society today (in the Philippines), and also have other chart types aside from Pie Charts.

Upcoming July Anime: Early Birthday Presents!

Yes, you've heard it: there are a lot of really awesome anime shows airing on July, almost as if they knew it's going to be my birthday on that month. Here's the list:

Tubo / Sugarcane Juice at Ongpin

One great refreshment that my dad got the idea from my late grandpa during their past trips to Sta. Cruz, Manila, is the Tubo Talaga or tubo / sugarcane juice. It's an awesome thirst-quencher that doesn't dry out your mouth with its sweetness.

Yesterday, we went to the big city again to grab some shots.

Huge List: Memes Translated to Tagalog/Filipino

We all know that Internet memes have not just taken over America and other parts of the world, but also in our home country, the Philippines. And the cool thing is that, they're not only on the Internet anymore, but also on sidewalks, tarpaulins, posters and even advertisements! And for that, I've prepared a large, seemingly-hilarious (I hope it's not very corny) list of famous memes translated in our native tongue, Tagalog (Filipino) - some with bonus alternative terms I've made up and explanations.
